Black Flag - Room 13

Pretty killer. Dig the abrasive guitar tone and just how rebellious this is - really had something to say.

Dawnbringer - Endless Guilt

24 minutes of amazing riffage, this album is great.

Slayer - Altar of Sacrifice

Definitely not my favourite thing Slayer have come up with but still pretty solid when all is said and done. It's very fast, yes, but sometimes a bit too fast for its own good I think.

Just getting to the end of Horna - Askel Lähempänä Saatanaa. Stellar album.

Queued:

Voivod - Target Earth

Never really been a fan of Voivod past Killing Technology but I do want to properly digest this one.

Koldbrann - Vertigo (first listen)

NP: Momentum - Herbivore

Fantastic, frantic, only slightly modern, hardcore release from this year. I'm not on board with the whole 'DON'T EAT MEAT BECAUSE IT'S SO FUCKING IMMORAL' concept but the music is really cool.

Queued:

Naga - Naga EP

Riffy doom. Can't remember much about it.

Monomakh - Triptych EP (first listen)
Primitive Man - Scorn

Sludge as it should be. Abrasive as fuck and uncompromising.

Saxon - Sacrifice

I'm surprisingly pleased with this album. Lots of tunes. Clearly doesn't stand up to their early stuff but it's a fun listen.

Wow! I have been listening to those this morning!
Infected Voice and onwards (bonus tracks) from (1991) Sepultura - Arise and all the (2003) Blut aus Nord - The Work Which Transforms God album.

Det Var en Gang et Menneske from (1995) Wongraven - Fjelltronen.
I just saw Pura Vida (The Ridge) and I'm in need of something for introspection.
P.S: NICE documentary!

Dawn of Destiny - Rebellion in Heaven

They're one of the theme bands for a huge tragic novel I'm working on. So energetic and intense, with great female vocals - not operatic, but simple and clean, and strong or beautiful depending on the mood of the song.

Type O Negative - Set Me On Fire

I keep trying to listen to something other than Typo, but nothing else is doing it today. Oh well.

Stagnant Waters - Of Salt and Water

Revisiting this since I didn't give it the proper listens it deserved when it first came out. But with a thunderstorm looming over the distance, I feel this is the perfect time to truly appreciate it.
