Quite an awesome little EP there, glad to see it getting some love. Too bad the band broke up so quickly...

Anacrusis - Screams and Whispers

Still a spectacular release in that microcosm of Voivod-esque "post-thrash" records, rivaled only by Nothingface itself and Holocaust's Hypnosis of Birds.

I know! I'm very disappointed all they did was the single ep cause it was vicious as hell.

Blind Guardian - Valhalla

I don't think Heaven Shall Burn's cover is bad or anything, but there's a reason the original song is still a power metal classic after all these years. :headbang:

This album is very good. It's simple, but that's one of the reasons it's so effective to my ears.

Sabbat - The Dwelling - The Melody of Death Mask

A black metal song that's about 60 minutes long?! This should be interesting for sure.

^Not really a fan of that one, even though I own it...

Master - Cut Through The Filth

Flute in death metal? Oh yes, and it fucking works like you wouldn't believe. Awesome, awesome track.

Blut Aus Nord - The Fall: Chapter IV

Few of the bands I listen to sound so... nightmarish but elating. It's like the soundtrack to seeing the truth of the universe, but it's an ugly, heart-wrenching truth.

Conception - Would it be the Same

Still hold the same opinion as ever. There's some decent material on this album but it's definitelty the worse out of the 4 Conception albums. Just not as good as it could have been.

Power Glove - Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Menu Theme

I have weak spot for 80s styled electronic/synth music, I love this.

Grave Declaration - In the Throne Room. Holy shit is this an awesome song 'black'/death metal done right (which can be kind of hard to find since a fair amount of non secular bands seem to fail at) super happy I bought this CD.

New song from Sunbather just revealed today. It sounds really good, and I already like it more than anything on their first full length.

Anthrax - Madhouse (live 2008)
Dan Nelson isn't very good. He's like if Phil Anselmo hadn't abandoned the melodic style he used on Power Metal but just kept singing like that for 25 years and this is what he would sound like as a middle-aged man with a completely shot upper range trying to sing "Burnnn".

Edit: Dear God the attempt on a high shriek on the second chorus is fucking terrible.
