Rotting Christ - Triarchy of the Lost Lovers

Anyone who's read my reviews knows how I feel about this album. Flawless and beautiful and profoundly important in my musical development. Every listen is a walk down what made that sweet tadpole the frog he is today.

You really can't go wrong with Rotting Christ.

Gojira - L'enfant Sauvage

Great addition to the Gojira discography. Not too different to their last two, but I can see their fully embracing the style they've carved out for themselves. It's not a bad thing, and hopefully they continue to release quality.

Brocas Helm - Defender of the Crown (the song)

It's been (too) long since I've spinned this album. This particular song should be ten times longer than it is. Ageless fighting metal!

Noumena - Handful of Dust

Ooowwww, I don't know about those female vocals. They feel forced and don't seem to have a place in the music and mix. The vocal lines themselves are alright I guess, but the mix sounds muffled and muddy. It's a shame because I really like the female vocals on Absence and Anatomy of Life. They should have gotten the same person. :/

Trist - Poslední Cesta

Long? Yes. Repetitive? Yes. Good? Hell yes! One of the best black/doom songs out there.

Black Sabbath - Wheels Of Confusion

I shit you not, this is my first ever listen to Vol 4. So excited! The other Sabbath classics are well known to me, but somehow I missed that one.

Edit: 2000 posts!
I guess I should slow the fuck down a bit now.

Kataklysm - Determined [Vows of Vengeance]

So, what's wrong with Heaven's Venom? The reviews here aren't the most favorable, yet I'm not listening anything particularly offensive here. I like it.

Death - Baptized in Blood

This sounds a lot better to me now than it did three years ago when I didn't really get it. Tasty riffs abound in the entire album.

Dream Theater - To Live Forever, off some early live concert

Man, James LaBrie definitely puts some of his best singing into this. Absolutely glass shattering Halford-esque shrieks going on here. A shame we never got hear those on studio albums actually.
