Tad Morose - Reason of the Ghost

Haunting, dark and creepy...just great stuff.

Darkthrone - Leave No Cross Unturned.

Still fun, slightly haphazard and a little too long. I consider it one of the weaker songs on the record, but nonetheless enjoyable, so all in all, it's still a hit.

Pyrithion – The Invention of Hatred

Not bad. Some similarities to Allegaeon. Not a surprise seeing as Ryan Glisan is in both bands.

Maximum Oversatan - Too Evil For Hell (demo)

Very rough, amateur black/speed metal. It's got a bit of a rocking feel that just makes it fun, which really works well with the rough/dirty sound. Sounds like a few guys jamming to Venom and early Sodom in a basement, which is just fun as hell.

Rotting Christ - Triarchy of the Lost Lovers

Anyone who's read my reviews knows how I feel about this album. Flawless and beautiful and profoundly important in my musical development. Every listen is a walk down what made that sweet tadpole the frog he is today.

You really can't go wrong with Rotting Christ.

Gojira - L'enfant Sauvage

Great addition to the Gojira discography. Not too different to their last two, but I can see their fully embracing the style they've carved out for themselves. It's not a bad thing, and hopefully they continue to release quality.

Brocas Helm - Defender of the Crown (the song)

It's been (too) long since I've spinned this album. This particular song should be ten times longer than it is. Ageless fighting metal!

Noumena - Handful of Dust

Ooowwww, I don't know about those female vocals. They feel forced and don't seem to have a place in the music and mix. The vocal lines themselves are alright I guess, but the mix sounds muffled and muddy. It's a shame because I really like the female vocals on Absence and Anatomy of Life. They should have gotten the same person. :/
