Burnt Offerings isn't even the best song on that album, motherfucking Dante's Inferno, Iced Earths peak.

Riot – Flight Of The Warrior

This album is badly underrated. It's as if everyone forgot that KD exists after Conspiracy!

The fact that that's one of the best rated albums on the archives speaks otherwise. ;) It's easily my second favorite in his catalogue, and an amazing album from start to finish.

Was playing: Deathrow - Deception Ignored

The zenith of thrash composition in my eyes. It's one of those few albums that makes you wonder how it could even be created from scratch.

NP: Rigor Mortis - Die in Pain

Yeah, really loving the classics today. This probably has the most astounding guitar-work I've ever heard on an album. The solo in this song is just like... :aww:

Yeah, I know that. Thing is, people don't talk about it as much as I'd like :-P But yes, it's a badass album. By the way, Deception Ignored kicks ass. All of the ass.

King Diamond - The Trial (Chambre Ardente), off The Eye

Really bloody sinister tune. I wouldn't like to be in the protagonist's shoes, to be honest.

Dragged into Sunlight - Buried with Leaches

There's a lot more death-metal in the recipe than I remember when I last listened to the album, and I like it.

It is good, isn't it? I was going to see them in Boston back in October but they had to postpone because of the hurricane. They're playing next month but I already got my refund and I don't think I'll bother. Anyway, I haven't bought the album yet but I listened to the stream for days on end when it came out. Koi No Yokan sounds fresher than ever. It's got that sleek, sexiness I crave from Deftones, and the songs are beautifully consistent.

Manilla Road - Mysterium

The song unfolds into a heavy epic, but a laid back feel pervades the track, I think it's great.

Blind Guardian - Under the Ice. A Night at the Opera is definitely my favorite Blind Guardian album hands down I could listen to it for days.

Not heard much about these guys on the boards. Any fans here? Early 90s Death Metal for those who don't know the band. Worth checking out!

Fanisk - Insularum

Goddamn, this is fucking mesmerizing. Too bad they're NS. Music is fantastic though, and a true piece of art.

Suffocation - Sullen Days

Easily the best track off the new album, imo. 2:28 - 3:21 = :headbang:. Seriously.

The so-called NS ties in Fanisk are extremely loose though. Even in the album with the Swastika on the cover, the only thing remotely NS is this lone line in the first piece:
"A Lord yet unknown,
Shall break the sky's boundary
Through one holy symbol,
Of totality."

No mentions of Jew killing or master-race bullshit anywhere.
