gangster anime rap mix

I think minus the obnoxious gangster, I could actually get into music like this.

Wtf... Darkthrone what have you degenerated into?

I agree.

Nuit Sur Les Champs-Elysees (Take 3) (Generique) from (1957) Miles Davis - Ascenseur Pour L'Échafaud (OST).
Relaxing stuff.

Cloven Hoof - Mistress of the Forest

This album isn't in my collection unfortunately. I'll have to change that in the near future.

:np: Open Tomb - Demo

Very cool stuff. Sludges and drudges along going nowhere fast. Ya know, the kinda thing that uses repetition as a weapon. All hail sloth!

Skinny Puppy - Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse

The influence of Skinny Puppy on industrial music is well-documented, and my enjoyment of this band has been constant to this point. I've yet to hear anything by them I haven't loved.

Master - Used

This is heavy and memorable. The drums are top-notch too, although the linear notes (I think it's of this album) mention that the drummer has since gone a bit nuts.

Human Antithesis is one of the most crushigly morose albums ever made. Well, anything involving Alan Averill is usually in that manner.

Cathedral - Carnival Bizarre, off The Carnival Bizarre

Got seriously hooked on this album during my recent Cathedral marathon. The rocking grooves, the somewhat happy, drugged out atmosphere and Dorrian's oddball vocal delivery really compliment each other.

Virgin Steele - Invictus

This album starts with a bang but nowadays I don't like it as much as I did earlier. A bit too one dimensional for me at times which is a pity because Virgin Steele really started to grow as a band during these years and showed songwriting skills most bands would dream of.

I think it has aged well. I find myself even liking songs like "Mind, Body, Spirit" which I didn't take to early on and "Sword Of The Gods" is always amazing.

Stormrider - The Path of Salvation, off the album of the same name

The Iced Earth influence isn't nearly as prominent as the band's name led me to believe. It's certainly there, but intermixed with a clearly German demeanor and some modern leanings. Plus, the vocalist has more in common with Bruce Hall than with Matt Barlow. I do like this quite a bit though.
