I was actually listening to the Abyssal last night too. I'm really enjoying it. I'll be ordering it.

Yeah, they're really good. I can't wait to get my mitts on the new one.

Manilla Road - After Midnight Live

Such a killer album. Love the plug for Invasion at the end!

Dio - The Last in Line, off the album of the same name

"We are coming..... HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!"

This man had the roar of a lion and the presence of a king.

That's probably his second best song. Just beat by ''All the Fools Sailed Away''.

NP: Anthem - Voice of Thunderstorm

Man, this still fucking rips. Best Anthem song I've heard so far. High octane speed metal that makes ''Fast as Shark'' sound like ''Paranoid''. :headbang:

Celebratrum - The Dark, Sick and Distorted

Pretty good example for tremolo picking!

Tarot - I Rule

Awesome. The vitriolic vocals and insane lyrics really sell this whole album. The great guitar work is just icing on the cake.

Sinister - Cross The Styx - Compulsory Resignation

This song takes off with some blistering thrashy riffs that explode into some death metal tremolo picking underneath the verse. Just ferocious through and through.

Abnormality - Fabrication Of The Enemy

This is really good. Technical/Brutal Death Metal thats riff oriented. Sounds in the vein of Cryptopsy but with more meaty riffs that stick out similar to maybe later Deicide(?). Even had an old school slow death metal break down in there. I might just have to pick this up.

Kalpa - The Path Of The Eternal Years

Really good South Korean black metal. Reminds me of Burzum and early-Dimmu Borgir having some sort of musical baby.

Abnormality - Fabrication of the Enemy

This may well be a turning point for me. I'm actually enjoying technical/brutal death metal.

Depeche Mode - The Policy of Truth, off Violator

I always have a whale of a time singing along to Depeche Mode's music. Plus, their songs are just so. Damn. Sexy.

Excellent choice, excellent album. Completely flawless in my eyes.

Cultes des Ghoules - Spectres Over Transylvania

Damn this is pretty awesome really. Much better than I expected.

John Grant - Queen Denmark. Brutally honest album with zero bad songs. An instant classic.

Agreed and thanks :-D I'm really glad I got into Depeche Mode. They're a very special band, and Violator is a total classic.

Queen - Flick of the Wrist, off Sheer Heart Attack

One of my favorite Queen songs, as this is basically them in a nutshell; bombastic, catchy, quirky, somewhat campy, but most of all, bloody rockin'.

Nile - SSS Haa Set Yoth (Japanese bonus track on Annihilation of the Wicked)

Why we didn't get this song is beyond me but this would have definitely been one of the major highlights off the album. That ending chant with that riff is awesome

Soothing side-project from Augury's axeman, pretty good and relaxing stuff for an easy awakening. If anyone knows where to get a physical copy of this please let me know! ;)
