Evoken - Of Purest Absolution This is right up there with Tending The Dire Hatred as one of my all-time favorite Evoken tracks. Absolutely bludgeoning as all hell. I really do want to find more bands / songs particularly in this vein. |

I dread even imagining what the newest Nightwish must sound like. One thing I've noticed about all these "female fronted" bands--all the awful gimmick bands with "angelic" vocals and half-assed songwriting are all men with a token female singer who has no other talents besides C-cups. The ones that are actually metal have women who play instruments and participate in the songwriting process as equals. |
