Foreshadow - Lie
I'm listening to so much music coming out of Quebec it's not even funny. This is a lesser known thrash band of the guy who started Augury later on.

Foreshadow - Come Alive
These guys are fuckin' goofy in some of their songs. More thrash/groove than straight-up thrash as I had previous thought before listening to the record. It still beats the shit out the current flock of modern bands.

I don't know about you guys but I feel this thread always seems to be about posting and less of reading. It would be nice (perhaps) to know a little more about what you're listening to than just the name and song title. Perhaps the genre or how the song is significant or how it appeals to you or some activity related to it. It could be anything really! For fuck's sake, if you have to be a post-whore, at least be a useful post-whore giving out some information (even if it's trivial). I think this has been mentioned before too. Anyway, my rant ends here.

Dark Castle - Into The Past
Doom/Sludge duo with female vocals. Their debut album was quite good...it has some neat acoustic passages as well.

That's been said many times already. Cinerary also complained about it. I have complained about it. Also, I'm gonna stop posting links because fuck all, yo.

Sigh - Lucid Nightmares: IV) Amnesia, off In Somniphobia

You know what I'd like to name this song? "Jazz Club of the Undead". Really, it's not difficult to picture the band as a bunch of stylish zombies jamming it up in some (literally) underground pub for a cursed audience. But fuck, if this is what hell sounds like, then I can't wait to get there.

Nominon - Mantra Reverse

Good swedish DM. Unfortunately I only listened only to their Promo'97 and this CD.
I definitely and urgently need to get more of Nominon!

Haha yeah, I just wanted to get in on it as well coz it annoyed me the moment I opened this thread. Anyway, to each their own. :annoyed:

Nephelium - Burial Ground
Possibly my favorite album of 2012. They're a crushing death metal band from Toronto. I hope these guys get all the recognition they deserve.

Well, this is kinda an uneventful new age album. Let's try a different flavor of Tangerine:

To/Die/For - Crimson Twins, from Epilogue

This is some really poppy sounding gothic metal... My first impression was to think I was going to hate it, but so far it really isn't so bad.

Mercyful Fate - Satan's Fall

One of my favourites off the album with just cooler riff followed by killer riff. Can't say I love the entire album though. The opener, ''Curse of the Pharaohs'' and this are definitely highlights but the rest just doesn't do much for me.

Now I should wait for xlxlx and Empyreal's critism.

Nah I agree with you. That was never their best song. "Come to the Sabbath," though; that's some awesome, scorching shit.

Mechanical Poet - Natural Quaternion

Proggy, orchestral stuff with awesome clean vocals - those vocals really make this stand out from other bands like this.

*me criticizing Colin*

I agree on the Come to the Sabbath love though. Is it the best MF song? Probably, not to mention the fact that it has some of the best riffs ever penned in a metal song in general.

Dark at Dawn - The 5th Horseman, off Of Decay and Desire

My favorite song from this album. Great, lush melodies coupled with some really powerful galloping and the unmistakable vocals of Thorsten Kohlrausch. This band's formula is a pretty simple one, yet it's so effective.....

I've seen a lot of hype for these guys, now to see what's so special.

Isolation in Infamy - Theory of Flight, from Isolation in Infamy

This is some stellar technical death metal... The more I come back and give this EP spins the more it continues to impress.
