Prevalent Resistance - Dynamics of Creation

Man this rules so hard. And that cover art is possibly the most accurate representation of the music I've ever seen.

Learn to apreciate his vocals.

Satyricon - Nemesis Divina
I don't know how Satyricon have never managed to make something as worthwhile as this album over the entirety of their career. It doesn't seem hard to continue with this style, instead of making "black metal with hard rock influences" or whatever the fuck they play nowadays.

Cause even this album gets OLD quite quickly.

Never cared about electronic Burzum but this is good.

Its a nice album, I like it. But avoid the other one like a plague.

I have been warned, thanks.

Summoning-Long Lost to Where No Pathway Goes

Awesome track from an album which contains some beatufiul tracks but also some not so good songs.

Urgh, I've heard that new song and it sounded bloody awful. The song samples on Amazon aren't promising either. Not even going to check the entire album out.

NP: Virgin Steele - Flesh & Blood

The only worthwhile material Virgin Steele comes up with nowadays are bonus tracks. Cool bluesy madness nonetheless.

Ohhhh truuu. They both do Autopsy worship differently though, no? I remember Murder Squad being punkier and simpler.

Autopsy - Service for a Vacant Coffin

I expected frustration once again with this album but... this time it's OK.

preparing to see them live tonight :D

Yeah Autopsy are one of those bands that are super, super influential, and yet nobody ever managed to perfectly copy their sound.

Indeed. Many bands managed to copy the riff style, but they never really got the gruesome atmosphere right.

I listened to 3 songs and I was done. I'm going to pretend it never happened.

Negura Bunget - Om

Perfect progressive black metal album for me.
Does Negru listen to this album? If he does, I wonder how he feels when he compares it to the recent albums.

Anyway so you're going to see Entombed on that cruise or whatever then? Tell us what the fellas from Morbus Chron were like when you come back, I like the thought of a newer old school band working with the originators of the style and stuff.

I mean....how does it not sound Swedish? And maybe "generic" was a little harsh, but I figured "average" was even more of an insult. Sorry, while it's enjoyable, I just can't place it over Where No Life Dwells, Like An Ever Flowing Stream, Clandestine, etc.

Necromanita- Last Song For Valdezie

I still think SC2112 should do a cover of this for the giggles

I can barely hear it under the super muffled(and really bad) production. The vocals sound cool at least.

Awesome stuff. In the past couple weeks, Demolition Hammer's stuff has become some of my absolute favorite thrash metal.

np Theocracy - Paper Tiger

My favorite from the new album. One of their best songs actually. I love that speed metal awesomeness combined with that heavenly chorus; so good.

I've been listening to a lot of death/black/doom lately, so power metal has taken a back seat to that stuff.

Poopdude25 - It happens. I recommend checking out Theocracy, though. They're a really good American power metal band that plays in the European style.

@poopman No worries, you should take pride that you're using those quotes! When I first started here it took me until, well, about a couple weeks ago until I discovered that shiny "Quote" button in the corner of each post... it was all typing out the code-y thingy and making sure I got the dude's name right until that. :durr: And yeah, if you like power metal with elements of thrash here and there as well as a whole host of other styles, Theocracy is the shit. My fave modern metal band by miles and miles. So good.
