Aryan Terrorism - War

Surprisingly good actually. Pretty decent riffage and good vocals. I like it.

Malefactor - Barbarian Wrath
Pretty decent melodeath band from Brazil. They also have some symphonic elements and some clean vocals. Mind you, the melodeath bit is more in the vein of early Dark Tranquillity. Over that layer, they have the additional elements that I described.

Celtic Frost - Visions of Mortality

I'm liking this. I'm assuming it just gets better from here?

I like Morbid Tales over the rest of CF material but who knows, To Mega Therion is pretty good, and so is Monotheist

Slough Feg - Ask the Casket

I always get the feeling that The Animal Spirits is an incredibly important album, and has a lot of profound things to say about life and art and all kinds of things. It's one of those transcendental things.

Soilwork - Let the First Wave Rise

I am surprised at how good this is. It's very, very mainstream, with heavy, blasting guitars with clean, poppy choruses and all...but the songwriting is tight, complex and memorable as hell, and the band has a ton of ambition and momentum on here. I am digging this.

Need to get back into death metal after a few years of heavy/speed/power

also why is there no reviews for this album?
