Allegaeon - Fragments of Form and Function - The Renewal

This and Masters Of Hate by Desultor arrived in the mail. Starting with this. Time to see if they can top Black Future.

The margin in quality is so slim I'd venture saying that they're for all-intents-and-purposes equal. Outer Isolation is a bit more mature and expands on what Black Future established.

Incidentally, listening to Vektor - Forests of Legend.

I'd actually been neglecting Black Future a bit, but I'm really, really enjoying it today.

After listening, I would completely agree. Not much of a difference in quality but they are both great. Just more of the same I guess. I feel like because of how technical Vektor are they are more suited for a cleaner production style. I dig the raw thrash sound but I just think Vektor would benefit from cleaning it up a bit.

Esoteric - The Maniacal Vale

First listen to any Esoteric album. Becoming a big fan right now. Loving what I'm hearing.

Watching Alice in Chains live San Jose '93 on youtube. Fantastic performance and the quality is pretty good too, especially the sound. This guys got so many live AIC sets, I'm gonna have to watch them all eventually.

Mikey reminded me that I need to listen to more Esoteric. I've only listened to the new one and Subconscious, something which I really need to fix. Odd too because I really enjoyed those two but hadn't pursued more.

Metallica - Hit the Lights

Primitive as hell but very fun to listen to. Not to mention Metallica's best album.

EDIT: Fixed a little typo there. :p

Running Wild - Bad to the Bone

One of my all-time faves from Running Wild. I almost always laugh when it sounds like he says "pounding the world with a fish of steel."

That's probably one of my favourites as well - I've not listened to a lot, even much, Running Wild, but Bad to the Bone definitely makes my favourites.

Bolt Thrower - Psychological Warefare

One of my favourite riffs from In Battle There is No Law album.

Abigail Williams - Ascension Sickness

Wow, I always hear nothing but shit about this band, that is the main reason why I've never listened to them, but this album is really good, I'm enjoying it, a lot. :-P

Well, since it's Peter Steele's death day, I will playing the entirety of Type O Negative's discography, over and over again.

Type O Negative - Hey Pete.

Saratoga - Mercenario

I usually can't listen to metal in Spanish (funny, considering it's my first language), but seems like I'll be making an exception for these guys, mostly because their singer, Leo Jiménez, is a total badass.

Insision - Expire

One of my favorite bands, but my first listen to this End Of All EP (2011). Holy mother of God I cannot wait until their new full-length. These guys are tight as fuck. Epic band.

Ea - Ea Taesse pt I

Fucking hell. Even though I'm only listening to this on youtube through my crappy laptop speakers, I am in complete awe. I will be purchasing some of this, as it would sound devastatingly glorious on my stereo.
