That clean part in "Vintage Black Metal" sounds really ominous!

That album got a whole lotta hype but I've gotta say it pretty much lives up to it as far as I'm concerned. I was a bit worried, what with the long song lengths and vague associations with the bestial/war metal scene (which I'm not the biggest fan of) but this thing is packed with loads of fantastic riffs and a brilliant vocal performance.

NP: Vemod - Venter på stormene

Really haunting, majestic atmospheric black metal.

Blut aus Nord ~ Ultima Thulee

First time listening to this band and I know they supposedly diverge from this sound greatly after this album. And holy shit that is sad, because the sound on this album is truly amazing. The atmosphere is one of a kind. I definitely want to hear more bm bands playing in this style.

Omen - At all cost.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. The sheer amount of bloody passion and emotion in those JD vocals... He'd have to be my favourite vocalist EVER.

Hi Basque, yep Celestial Season also play stoner metal in album like 'Orange' and the following album 'Chrome', 'The Lunchbox dialog'.

Early they played classic doom-death and add their stoner rock influences from the album 'Solar lovers' that is a mix of.

Also try to check finnish Disgrace of 'Superhuman Dome', they also play an old school death in the early days than transform in a stoner machine later

np: Unida/Dozer - Double Ep

I need to give that a few more goes, I think. I really, really like the debut (probably my pick for best OSDM revival album) so it was really difficult for me to embrace the new one. It meanders a whole bunch and is definitely over-long but I can see warming up to the actual songs more.
