^One of their best songs. Hindsight version is also amazing

Morphine — Radar

Tom Waits' influence is obvious in this one

Yeah, many people seem to think "Hindsight" is so-so.. I really love many of the versions (+"Unchained" is on there). Same with "Falling Deeper" :)

Anathema - Suicide Veil

uplifting vibes :D

Malevolent Creation's first two albums are really good but I think they fell off really quickly afterwards. I feel like I could almost compare them to Vomitory since they're so intense and don't really switch up their formula all that much, but the Swedes have a huge streak of great albums to their name while the Americans always seemed really content with what they did and never really challenged themselves. Though I will say that MC have one of my favorite album covers ever (and easily my favorite Dan Seagrave art) with Stillborn. Something about how light and blue it is makes it stand out and drew me to the album instantly. Not many albums have done that based on the strength of the art alone.

Vector Hold - Night Marauder
The synthwave thread reminded me that I'd never heard Vector Hold's third album despite me being ludicrously in love with Classics and Mechanized. This entire genre is pretty new and a lot of the artists are clearly new to making music at all, but there's a reason that certain ones like Perturbator stand so tall above everybody else. It's because they clearly know what they're doing, they make all of these layers work off of each other and keep the pulse pounding, Vector Hold is right there with him. This album incorporates some guitars too, which just makes it even cooler. "High Octane" is one of the best songs he ever did.

Yeah, I like the swirls on the brain/egg thing. It's a shame the music kinda sucks and Brett Hoffman's drunkenly slurring the vocals tho

Skyforger - Be Like Man

These riffs are unbeatable. So good. This reminds me why I got into metal even.

Morphine — Rope On Fire

i like the middle eastern vibe on this song. but this album has some really boring songs. its a bit frustrating when a band's final album is their weakest

Great song! worthy of notice are the two really impressive solos: Huss is a damn underrated lead player and LaRocque rips as expected ;)

I LOVE those songs!

Decided to come back to this band, I actually really enjoy this album now. Still can't really get into Remains of a Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul and I'm still astonished why it's one of the most wanted albums by people on this site.

Must listen again to this band.

Metal Church - Masterpeace - Faster Than Life

This was my first MC album. Not the best intro to the band but some of the later MC output makes this sound good.
