I have not forgotten this!

Thats it, the death metal part is clearly worse and it sounds out of place.

You shouldnt! Melana is heavy as fuck!

Ramesses - Black Hash Mass

Nice and depressing, psychotically psychedelic, like being totally blurred out on rotten mushrooms while zombies slowly shuffle towards you.

"Force of Luna" by Visionatica

Surprising, exceptionally good symphonic metal stuff.

Opeth - "In the Mist She was Standing"

I feel dirty. I probably shouldn't be listening to this considering how many bad things I've heard about this band. Regardless, I like this. The vocals are quite terrible, but they might grow on me. I am really enjoying the music. For my first listen, I'm really digging it. At least this song. :headbang:

Never was fan of theirs. The vocals are indeed unfitting and not so good, but the real problem is just how drawn out and needlessly long everything is. Well, whatever.

:np: Type O Negative - Slow, Deep and Hard

Doom/thrash? I like.

Maybe you should form your own opinion! I love the vocals but they're better later on like on Still Life, Deliverance or BWP.

Possessed - Confessions

Intro gets me so pumped! Put this on to get myself going to do a ton of work today...still procrastinating. Time to get shit done though.

Yeah, keep in mind this is like my first impression. Let me stress though, I love the music, it kicks ass. It's progressive in the sense that reminds me of the 70's classic prog (my favorite type of music), so I'm really digging it. Thanks for showing me this! I've got a lot to chew on for a while, and I've yet to dig into the other tracks you sent me.

Ghost - Meliora

As much shit as it gets, there must be other fans of this album too. It's still in the charts here - or at least was last week. That of course doesn't tell anything about the quality of music. My opinnion still is, that Cirice, He Is etc. are fun songs.

I love that album, man. Good mix of different sounds and styles. I don't get the hate. Maybe because it's not totally a metal album, more like progressive rock at times.

sc2112, listen to Still Life. It has an equal proportion of metal, progressive, and acoustic rock. I don't really have a problem with Mikael's vocals. It's a gorgeous album. It brings out the softer side of metal.

I can't see what's progressive about that Ghost album. The songwriting is pretty much the most simplistic, repetitive kind of pop stylings.

Deep Purple - Knocking At Your Backdoor

True, brass knuckled, badass attitude. This is what rock and roll sounds like. One of my favorite songs ever.

Kreator- Hidden Dictator

So underrated. So ripping [corpse]! Wish they'd bring this one out live. Though you can say that for any Coma of Souls track besides People Of The Lie, seeing that one's been done to death.

I agree there. Every track on that album rules. I find that the last two tracks on that album don't get as much love, but that one and especially "Mental Slavery" kick ass.

np: Buckethead - "Pale Hill"

This song gets me in the feels so badly.. One of the most beautiful songs Big B has ever done. I mean, dude.

Rigor Mortis - Six Feet Under/Worms Of The Earth

Man, what the fuck? This is too fucking awesome that it's actually hilarious. The whole Freaks EP is like a mix of all thrash metal bands of the time, and goddamn does it slay.

Nice pagan/folk black metal. Its a pity that the band is not active nowadays.

Something amateurish but good.

Have been some days listening to Darkspace on my way to work. Who says dark Black Metal and summer don't fit together?
P.S: Anyway, I must listen to this on headphones.

I need to give this one more time but I liked it better than the first one, I reckon. :)

Pessimist - Longaevus

What a severely underrated band. This one probably doesn't have the same charm as the first two did, but it's still a hell of an album, full of uplifting riffs, great harsh and clean vocals, and song structures that feel loose and almost improvised. I really enjoy this band. :)

Crosses sure sneaked into how he arranges the vocal lines, I love it in some places. I think the album is around 8/10 for me now.. really good but something is still missing. Hard to follow up "Koi No Yokan" which is one of my all time favorite albums though. How do you feel about "Gore" overall now?

Slough Feg - The 95 Thesis

I remember how much of a revelation this album was for me. I think this stuff opened up the doors for me to get into way more old school, bluesy, funky rock and roll that I like now.

Ripper - Stellar Evolution

Sorry Vektor fans, Ripper's latest is still the thrash album to beat in 2016.

Vektor - Pillars Of Sand

That said, they are running a pretty close second right now.

^ You haven't even really been into metal long, right? Not like you don't have time to let bands grow on you. I don't think it's a big deal if you're just recently enjoying them more.

Steel Prophet - Betrayal

Badass, melodic riffage. These guys have the attitude and power to spare that trad metal needs.

It's been about 3 and a half years of metal for me, and I've been aware of Maiden the whole time (and for much longer besides) and had given them several chances, but it is only now that I can say that I really like one of their albums outside of Powerslave.

Shame on you. :nono: It's Iron Fucking Maiden, how could you?

U2 - Achtung Baby

One of the greatest creations in all of rock music. It's amazing how U2 completely changed their sound after the 80's ended.
