Metallica - Master of Puppets, off the album of the same name

This brings back memories of getting into metal, and it still kicks a fair amount of ass.

Tad Morose - Sword of Retribution, off Matters of the Dark

"Into a brave new WOOOOOOOOOORLD!
Sail away, sail on.....
And 'til we've saved the WOOOOOOOOOORLD!
So far away.....
WE'LL BE SAILING THE NIGHTSKIES!!!"

Gosh, that's breathtaking.

I'm a sucker for unconventional Black Metal.
I actually discovered it quite recently and its been getting regular spins, in little doses though, not been able to get through it in one sitting.

I enjoy unconventional black metal, too, and Dimensional Psychosis certainly delivers in that regard. I've seen versions of this with different track amounts. Mine has 7 tracks.

Oh, cool. Nice to know someone else listens to this! What do you think of it? The ending instrumentals were okay, but I was hoping for some heavier tracks. Otherwise it's all quite enjoyable.

Nice choice again.

Synthetic Breed - Perpetual Motion Machine

Cool Australian band with clean vocals some people are not going to like, but I happen to dig them. The songs are all nice and varied and I enjoy the core-ness of it all, which I think gives the album a nice edge. Some parts are melodic without getting too soppy, which is also great. Awesome album. Maybe one day I'll pick up the debut.

Havohej - Kembatinan Premaster

I have been listening to this one a lot lately. I just really love how experimental and weird it is. No guitars - just a weird noise in the background, drums, and shrieking vocals. There's nothing like this out there and I really enjoy listening to it. "Melancholike" is THE song on the album, with it's brooding drum pattern and opening and closing with what sounds like a scratched record. Not easy or enjoyable listening for some but it works for me. I hope that Havohej's next album will be something like this...or is that too far-fetched? We'll see. For now, this album is killer.

I actually want to listen to this album again... Jardpuls was one listen and I'm done, so a marked improvement there.

Practically the heaviest song ever. Master of Reality is the best metal album of all time. Disagree? Like I give a shit :finger:

Now that my ears seem to be a bit better again my mood is actually swinging... Oh hell, at least I have some utterly depressing wall of sound to accompany it.

Reverend Bizarre - They Used Dark Forces/Teutonic Witch

Awesome riffing, but does it need to be a half hour long? I doubt it.

Blut Aus Nord - The Plain of Ida

I'm really enjoying the band's début at the moment - Quite different to most of the albums released at around the same time, too, I'll wager. The simple but well deployed synth is great.

Darkthrone - Inn I De Dype Skogers Favn

Been trying to burn through Darkthrone's original black metal trinity before my shift is up. Just about done with Under A Funeral Moon, next up and lastly is Transilvanian Hunger.
