Seasons of the Wolf - Quilex, off Nocturnal Revelation

Loving the sci fi atmosphere on this thing. You could certainly get kidnapped by aliens to this tune. The guitar could be a bit louder though.

Horrendous - Eye of Madness from 'The chills' album.

Fuck i love this band, the songwriting in particular is so well done. Great atmosphere, love the sickly melodies. I get THE CHILLS every time i hear this album.

Vital Remains - War in Paradise

Menacing and vicious with beasty vocals and a serious riff-assault. :headbang:

Root - Beelzebub

This is much more complex and cohesive than I remember - I'd really neglected the album a few years ago because I didn't really get it at the time, but now... wow. Really enjoyable.

Edguy - Vain Glory Opera (Live)

Probably one of my favorite Edguy songs. Never heard it live before. Pretty good and true to the original.

Decapitated - "Sensual Sickness"

One of the better songs from The Negation. For some reason, this album bores me for the most part. I will willingly listen to any other Decapitated album, but The Negation is always a struggle for me.

I don't mind this album, but I can understand why some people, such as yourself, wouldn't.

Lithotome - Lithotome

The abrupt breaks between songs is a hugely annoying pressing flaw, but otherwise this is some great, monolithic death metal. Not the best I've heard in this sort of genre, but Lithotome do it pretty well and I can sense they will get better in time.

This and the rather short playing time are certainly reasons why this release won't appear in my favorites list for this year, but at least Imperial delivers another fine vocal performance, which enhances the overall quality of the album. Still, I'd rather have the new Twilight album by now instead of this.

Gorguts - An Ocean Of Wisdom

This has been on heavy rotation since its arrival, which was more than a month ago already. It wasn't a very good metal year for me until now, but this makes up for everything before.

The Devil's Blood - White Storm Of Teeth

Wow. I really like this. Yet another album I will have to acquire. The fact that it reminds me of Siouxsie And The Banshees slightly is a winner, and the song itself is damn intoxicating. Bloody good stuff.

"Liberation" -

Not really, that doesn't mean to say without lack of trying; I find them well, not my cup of tea. Somebody had to post them on this page.

You're not starting at the right place with 1349 (and good catch posting them on the 1349th page ;)). Try Hellfire instead - for me that's their best one.

Fleshgod Apocalypse - Labyrinth

Yeah, I really like this one now. Really grandiose and contains great use of cleans and female operatic vocals. It gets better with each listen.

NP: Saturnalia Temple - UR demo

This is essential for fans of Electric Wizard. Great riffs and an incredibly similar feel. Perhaps a bit bluesier but there's definitely the whole fuzzy, hallucinogenic feel.

Queued:

Above the Ruins - Songs of the Wolf EP (first listen)

I remember little about this (all I know is that something must have enticed me to download it), but from a quick look on last.fm it's a pre-Sol Invictus Tony Wakeford project. Awesome.

2Pac - The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

Classic hip-hop, can't complain.

Wormrot - Abuse

One of my favourite albums ever, and certainly my favourite of Wormrot's. That said, I am a huge fan of grind in general.

I dunno about this one. This is probably the first time I've ever felt that clean vocals were out of place, because when that lady busts into the song, it was jarring to the point of making me jump.

Cursed Storm of Ages by Battle Dagorath.

I've limited experience with this band. Only listened to Ancient Wrath once, but this album sounds better so far.

But actually slightly related, as I am playing that song on the guitar right now, haha.
