Cretin-The Beast and the drowning bucket

Not sure how I missed this album last year, sounds a lot like Exhumed

Fates Warning - The Sorceress

Anyone who dislikes Awaken the Guardian is basically not worth the time. This is a well known fact.

I've been listening to this album a lot in recent weeks. The lyrics are not my thing but the music sheer genius. Love the guitar solo at the start of Mortui Mundi

..this album has lifted me in the past few months, and not many people i know have heard this album. i find it decent, and heavy.. Mortui Mundi is a killer one for sure..

Cattle Decapitation - Manufactured extinction
For like the 50th time. Those haunting clean vocals are second to Dave Hunt's singing in Anaal Nathrakh. Why couldn't they have gotten that guy over Pantera duewd for guest vocals on the new album? A Travis/Dave duet on a track might be more than I could handle right now..

Aphrodite "Ragnarok -Scarlet Fantasia XIII-"

One of the better composed doujin/touhou albums I've heard. Then again, considering the personnel involved, I shouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, that track has me pretty excited for the new album. :)

Thantifaxath - Sacred White Noise

Wonderful black metal. Absolutely adore this one with its cascading riffs and excellent vocals.

I messed that post up. I actually meant The Dead of the World and obviously that's the album you were referring to as well. It's kinda surprising how it gets very little attention.

NP : Funereal Presence - The Archer Takes Aim

The usbm scene does possess it's share of gems, and this is one.
The riffs are so ethereal and otherworldly, especially on the title track

At The Gates - Within

There's something absolutely frightening about this album. The tortured vocals, eerie guitar riffing and bizarre violins (even though they're out of tune) match so fine.

Divine Symphony - Martyrs

"Christian" black metal is an interesting concept. That aside it is a decent enough song.

Beer Baron,
indeed, yes i sort of caught that now as well, album title and such.. but i knew right away what you meant. the little attention it gets does confuse me, i figured many people would comment upon or at least show it is a worthy listen..
Black Embers, has to be my favorite track..

now playing, Shape of Despair- the Distant Dream of Life.. yet another heavy presence.. i find my place in these, void of way..

Shrine - Goat Skin Rite

Pretty effective and simple black/thrash with some great hollow, barking vocals. Nothing too special, but okay none the less.

Ephemer - Flamme et Sang

This band fucking rules. Excellent powerful and at times majestically raw Canadian black metal. Stunning, stunning stuff indeed. Both of the demos have been pressed on vinyl now, and I just bought me a copy. Oh yes.

NP: Lothlorien [The Primal Event, 1998] - 05. The Other Side (03:28/05:55) {322 kbp/s}
This is some neat In Flames-like 90's melodic death metal with keyboards basically. Album cover is objectively bad but it's grown on me too

Overthrow - Within Suffering

That best year for thrash metal thread got me thinking about stuff, and reminded me of this album. One of my favorites. Seriously overlooked band. Anyone else love this record?

Manowar - Swords in the Wind

If only the rest of the album was in the level of this, House of Death, the title-track and Call to Arms, it would be one of their best.

Yob - Nothing to win

I've spun this an unhealthy number of times this past week, both for my ears and the record. I'm gonna need a backup here shortly.

Falling Leaves - "Reaching My Last Haven" from Mournful Cry of a Dying Sun

A quite nice little slab of melodic doom/death to start my Sunday.

I can't fully appreciate At the Gates outside some specific songs.

Early Nineties from (2005) Handicraft - Loud Fidelity.
We went to see Rodeo, a Kyuss tribute band, this last friday and I had to tell them about this album:

Best stoner album from Basque Country EVER.

I would enjoy Testament more if they had a different vocalist. His voice is just so... meh.

Curse Upon (a) Prayer - Rotten Tongues
Whoa. Didn't realize these guys had a new album out already. Top notch Finnish black metal with some pretty stellar production quality, this is up there with Der Weg Einer Freiheit on my favorite black metal list.

Judas Priest- "Halls of Valhalla."

Probably the best song off "Redeemer": solidly epic in feel with some cool riffs scattered about, and Halford's scream in the middle of the song is just fucking godly.

I enjoy Eurovision song contest. :-D :-D

I need to focus on Inquistion, but until now what I have listened hasnt impressed me that much.

Bann-Der Geiger

Interesting black metal with violins and keys. The vocalist sounds like f*cking Smeagol! hahahaha.

You're sick! LOL!
I REALLY enjoyed (2013) Inquisition - Obscure Verses For The Multiverse at first but now I consider it a letdown after revisiting their discography.
Smeagol vocals?!? I'm intrigued!
Edit: Wait...

Heriotza Eta Geroa from (2000) Numen - Haize Sorginduen Intziriak.
Man, what a band!

Listening to this while working on my Numen t-shirt (and some more about Basque Country Black Metal).

Judicator - God's Failures

Wow, I didn't know Hansi was cloned and raised in the US. Gotta admit this thing right here is much more to my liking then the latest Blind Guardian (which, unfortunately, bores me to no end).

Sodom - City of God

One of their better post-millennium albums, and this song stands out with sick riffs and a very memorable solo.

Very soothing to the ears. This album makes me want to stay wrapped up under the covers for another hour or two. I think I will!

Tribulation - Children of the Night

They're moving further away from the sound on their debut. Sounds like two different bands with no connection whatsoever.
Good catchy album though
