@Androdion

That sounds really interesting. I can't listen to it right now, but I will do so tonight.

Black Sabbath - The Shining

I think the latest reviewer summed up what this album sounds like quite well. It's just too 80's-ish at times which is too bad cause this album could have been a power metal masterpiece considering some of the highlights here.

That sounds really interesting. I can't listen to it right now, but I will do so tonight.

Be advised that Devil Doll should shock even a fan of Sigh, they're really a bizarre "collective"! ;) You can also try Dies Irae for an album a bit more "dramatic". Just don't expect a metal band as they're very marginal on the metallic edge.

With that being said: Devil Doll - Sacrilegium

Time to continue listening to the band's discography since I was able to snag their five album for an interesting price. This one has been reissued in 2012 (along with Dies Irae) in a lush digifile packaging that is absolutely gorgeous! The tone is a bit different and more "cinematic" but it's still Devil Doll being themselves. Mr. Doctor surely is a strange person. :nods:

Jumping on the Devil Doll bandwagon, I found about them/him a couple years ago, and yeah, pretty amazing stuff. It's like a soundtrack to "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" gone perfectly awry. I read in a semi-recent interview that the Doctor has completed three albums since "Dies Irae", but won't release them. Anyways....

Bloodbath- Soul Evisceration

Shatter Messiah - Dirge of the Christ, off God Burns Like Flesh (no fuckin' YouTube links available, I'm afraid :annoyed:)

Can you imagine what burning at the stake while seeing an empire fall down before your very eyes would feel like? This song perfectly embodies that idea. Tragedy, horror, and madness.

Anger As Art - Hubris Inc.

Vicious, explosive West Coast speed/thrash, this is the new album dropping in a couple weeks. Fun and fresh sounding, but with an old school heart.

The Day of the Beast -Son of Draconis.

A pretty good up and coming band out of Virginia, kind of reminds me of Kreator just a bit.

Tried listening to it. Was bored out of my fucking skull. Maybe if I beat the ever loving shit out of someone who likes the album while listening to it, I might enjoy it a lot more....

Ataraxy - Necrotic Shadow of Decay

This is awesome! Wasn't sure to expect when I blindly bought it, but based on other peoples reactions, it was the best thing to ever exude from speakers. Frankly, I'm close to agreeing.

I should try to listen to this band cause they are going to play REALLY close to me!

Nucleo Antirapina (from Operazione K - Sparate A Vista) by Bixio-Frizzi-Tempera from (1998) Beretta 70 - Roaring Themes From Thrilling Italian Police Films 1971-80.
Brilliant stuff!
