Does anyone know what pressing of Transilvanian Hunger this is?
I think its a late Second pressing of it?
And is it worth more then the price it sold if so how much?

the first pressings didnt have a sticker, so its probably 2000 onward

it sold for just over a £1, definitely worth every penny

No idea on the pressing, however I would value it between $10-15 personally. I've been looking for tape, jewel case CD, or LP editions of the first four darkthrone albums, all i can find is the digipaks.

Hmm....
Well it has the true black metal logo on it. So don't think its a late 2000 one because in 2003 this album was made in to a digi pack. But No music for nations released the first one so i still not 100% which pressing it is?

I have a different early pressing. It has the Norsk Arisk Black Metal on it, but next to the peaceville logo it has a Fierce Recordings logo as well.

Yep i brought it still waiting for it to come.
I have it twice now one is the AUS press which is on a AUS label because Peaceville would not 100% put it's name to it.
The AUS one has both saying on it True Norwegian Black Metal and Norsk Arisk Black Metal (Norwegian Aryan Black Metal)
I was just wondering if this was the Peaceville release before it got banned?
This one seems to only be on Peaceville Record label but only have True Norwegian Black Metal on the back cover so it's making me think it's a 2nd pressing of the CD?
Anyone know????

Was going to post this also, this is the same version that I have, which I believe is the 1st presing, the main difference on the latter releases is that the "NORSK ARISK BLACK METAL" was removed from the back of the cd as you can see on the original post.

First press 1994 (VILE 43 CD): VILE 43 written on the disc, no Music For
Nations logo on the back cover
Second press 1994 (CDVILE 43): no VILE 43 written on the disc, MFN logo on the
back cover.
Both have the infamous phrase 'Norsk Arisk Black Metal' (Norwegian Aryan Black
Metal).

Some pressings have the phrase 'Norsk Arisk Black Metal' (Norwegian Aryan Black
Metal), but due to the negative response of many distributors around the world,
that phrase was replaced by "True Norwegian Black Metal" in later pressings.

Reissued and remastered in 2003 as a digipak featuring a video interview clip.

2nd pressing it seems to be then

Indeed. Well then, all the better for those of us who have the real version right?

..Seen in your Ebay history that you bought Vikingligr Veldi recently. Has the one you bought got the barcode on it?

Cheers..

It has the Barcode ): so its DSP and Voice Of Wonders :|
I'm after any Deathlike Silence stuff if anyone is selling?
And about what pressing the Darkthrone CD is i will just have to wait untill i get it i still think its the 2nd press but when they removed the saying later on will see if it say 1994 on it.

So does no barcode supposedly mean it's DSP, and those with barcode DSP/VoW?

I have both versions of Vikingligr Veldi, other than the barcode missing I've not really noticed any difference but then not looked at both in detail.

Well 1st press on DSP have no barcode and have dureco [01] around the inner ring of the CD. DSP and VoW Have Barcodes and a load of numbers around the Inner ring and these are 2nd press.
And DSP bootlegs have dureco (01) around the inner ring of the CD so make sure what your buying is the real deal!

Fuck I stand corrected, my Vikingligr Veldi is actually second press, you learn somthing new every day. It is still DSP/VOW but as stated the very first pressings have no bar code on the back as the one shown above, as far as I know that is the only difference. (Use metalformaniacs.com to check out what releases you have, link on my other topic).

It's not just the Barcode it's to do with the Inner ring of the CD just as much.

By the way the Darkthrone CD came today it's the 2nd press from 2001 :|
So it much go the Darkthrone CD pictured above 1st press then the 2001 2nd then Digi 3rd.

Hmm, just took a look at my Vikingligr Veldi cds, the one without the barcode has a white space for the barcode - but no barcode (so different to the pic above), and the cd is marked Dureco [01] Anitmosh 8. My other copy has the barcode, but the cd is marked the same.

So both CDs have Dureco [01] as the Matrix code?
Even the DSP and VoW one with the barcode because my one has random numbers not Dureco [01]

...Yes mate, I can take some pics of the cds and back inlays if you are interested?

I've not seen the version that is in the photo a few posts above.. that doesnt have the blank barcode bit, just nothing at all? Seems to be a few different presses about. Would be interesting to see what was on the matrix of that one?

I'm not usually too bothered about all this first press stuff, but when it's one of my favourite albums it's nice to know what you've got.

Might be worth editting the title of this thread so that it includes Vikingligr Veldi, incase somebody can shed more light?

Tried to get pics of the matrix codes but struggled, need to learn how to use my camera, however here are the inlays.

NB that in the second pic you can see the writing on the spines is also a different way around..

Cheers, Greg.

You have the 1st and 2nd pressing of Vikingligr Veldi the one with no barcode is the 1st press and is worth alot more then the one with the barcode as the 2nd press has different matrix code found not like all the 1st press CDs on DSP have dureco [01] (:
And as for changing the title i don't now how to do that for this threat :|

As I said before, both my cd's say the same on the matrix, despite the cases being different. Dureco [01] Antimosh 8.

You might be able to change the thread title by editting your first post - never started my own topic so dont know for sure.

Cheers, Greg.

I like how on the back of the c.d. it says TRUE NORWIEGAN BLACK METAL. Sounds like a huge ego thing.

That's a way to see things. I never considered 10 euros a bargain for a CD but then again I'm not much of a collector.

How much are this worth? (i guess real state and cds are the way to go heh? :))

And, btw, how much is the first press of transylvanian hunger worth (i have the no mfn, with ns saying on the back)?

To a collector if they have the Matrix codes dureco [01] i have seen them go on ebay for The Awakening about $100 to $200 sometimes more. And Deathcrush about $20 to $50 dollars most of the time if its the first press one like you have.
