I've heard of the band myself as well, but don't really know much beyond that. They recorded a couple rehearsal tapes and are from sweden, but otherwise don't know much at all.

They didn't play metal if memory serves. More like a type of harsch noise. That's why they ain't here.

They used to be featured here, but were removed when a bunch of people hinted they're gonna form bedroom protest bands just to submit them to MA.

I couldn't imagine the site admins caving to a pathetic thread like that. To my knowledge, the only reason bands get deleted is if they were accepted then deemed not metal by someone in a position of power.

They are as metal as Anal Cunt. If you manage to get your ears used to the sound, you'll hear that it's basically just random improvising that for the most part sounds like Seth Putnam trying to parody Abruptum.

Holy geeze... this stuff is so incredibly and excruciatingly boring! Anyone who paid over 40 Euros for this shit must have felt embarrassed at their misguided "investment".

Does anyone else agree that there isn't substantial evidence that this was a band that "hated" beherit? According to the MA Beherit page:

"Despite their relative popularity now, Beherit were generally hated by the black metal community back in the early nineties. In fact there was a Scandinavian band made in response to them called "Fuck Beherit" (who released 2 rehearsal tapes in 1992)."

Although I agree that Beherit were hated a lot back then, I don't agree that Fuck Beherit is an example of that. They have a song called "Beherit Are Gods" and there demo is titled "Do Beherit" Hinting that "Fuck Beherit" might actually be meant literally and not as an insult... Also this band put out a demo under the name Goat Pussy if I remember correctly which consisted of the same kind of music so I really don't think they made these recordings as an insult to Beherit, rather as a strange tribute.

Pot plant. A plant which you plant in a pot. It's a Swedish word.

Haha In battle theres no plant!?! Nolan, I just read the other thread on this band in which you posted something similar to what I just posted here, I'm glad to see someone else noticed this. I've been trying to get that part on the Beherit page changed for years as it's very misleading and innacurate or at least lacking definitive proof. All my reports have gone ignored. I am reasonably sure they were a worship band.

Here is some info about that band:

"A brief "conflict" between Norwegian and Finnish scenes gained some media recognition during 1992 and 1993. Part of this was motivated by seemingly harmless pranks; Nuclear Holocausto of the Finnish band Beherit started to make prank calls in the middle of the night to Samoth of Emperor (in Norway) and Mika Luttinen of Impaled Nazarene (in Finland). The calls consisted of senseless babbling and playing of children's songs, although Luttinen believed them to be death threats from Norwegian bands."

"Notably, the album cover of Impaled Nazarene's Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz contains texts like "No orders from Norway accepted" and "Kuolema Norjan kusipäille!" ("Death to the assholes of Norway!"). The Finnish band Black Crucifixion criticized Darkthrone as "trendies" due to the fact that Darkthrone began their career as a death metal band. Additionally, a Norwegian band released two demos under the name Fuck Beherit"

"Beherit were one of the first black metal bands. In the early 1990s, most of the bands in the scene were from Norway, but due to Beherit and groups such as Impaled Nazarene and Barathrum, the Finnish scene was becoming more and more recognized. This eventually resulted in a Norwegian-Finnish conflict often named the "Dark War". According to Isten magazine, the conflict originated from several misunderstandings and practical jokes, involving Laiho, but Mika Luttinen of Impaled Nazarene believed he received death threats in Norwegian. His band's first album had a statement saying "no orders from Norway accepted", which Luttinen later admitted to be stupid and childish. In response to Beherit, there was allegedly a band called "Fuck Beherit", that released two rehearsal tapes in 1992.
Laiho commented on the conflict in an interview for January 1994 issue of Masters of Brutality magazine:

"When we started the band about 4 years ago we knew this and so that's okay. Now there are more people against us ‘cause of these new rules and all these stupid rumours spread by our Norwegian enemies... but I don’t care so much. But that’s a bit sad that the black metal underground scene is totally split."

Thanks Pyrex! I was wondering why there was beef between the Norwegians and the Fins. lol Prank calls... that caused a war?

I still say there is no good enough evidence for the MA page to claim that Fuck Beherit was a band that is proof of beherit being hated, I'm fairly sure it was a worship band for the reasons I stated earlier in the thread.

You have to remember that this was recorded in '92, Beherit had not yet releasing 'Drawing Down the Moon' and were known for simple, ugly, thrashy black metal. Fuck Beherit sounds like a mockery to me, very similar to something that Seth Putnam would be involved in.

Yeah, but when you take into consideration that this bands demo's title is "Do Beherit" it seems likely that "Fuck Beherit" was meant in a slightly more literal sense. Also they have songs like "Beherit are gods" and "Death to false Beherit" and they cover a Beherit song, not to mention the fact that this band changed the name to Goat Pussy and released another demo of the same type of music after these two Fuck Beherit demos which indicates that it was a serious band. I don't think the fact that the name of the band is "Fuck Beherit" is enough to assume it was a indication of Beherit being hated, rather the opposite taking into consideration the other points I made about the demo. I just think it's misleading to use them as a reference on the Beherit page as an example of how Beherit were hated back then.
