What do you think of Destroyer 666?
What album do you like best?

I reckon Unchain The Wolves is one of the greatest albums ever made!

I only listened to Unchain the Wolves and Cold Steel for an Iron Age. UTW is clearly their peak, I never tire to listen Satan's Hammer.

Im sure D666 apreciation thread has been done before , anyways Love the whole aussie black/thrash/death thing going on .......Gospel Of The Horns , Trench Hell , Destruktor , Nocturnal Graves .

Sticking to the topic im sure many would list Unchain the wolves as a favourite . Can never get enough of that album . To be honest ive barely listened to their other 2 . I do like Terror Abraxas ep quite a bit though

Great band. Cold Steel is my favorite of theirs, but Phoenix Rising and especially Unchain the Wolves are both amazing too. Regardless of the album, they have some truly great guitar riffs.

Their new album Defiance is supposed to be released in 2009, anyone heard any news about it?

I just recently got "Phoenix Rising" and "Cold Steel..." and "Unchain the Wolves" should be arriving in the mail any day now. I love what I've been hearing. Great riffs, vocals, and solos. I'd have to say "Phoenix Rising" has been my favorite so far, especially "I Am the Wargod".

Unchain the Wolves is my favorite album of theirs, although Phoenix Rising is also really good. I love all their stuff.

Cold Steel is my personal favorite as well although I've not heard any bad material from them at all.

I'm pretty excited about the new one, whenever it comes out.

Cold Steel is my favorite although I hve most of their stuff and listen to it all frequently. I have Violence is the Prince of this World, Unchain the Wolves, Phoenix Rising, andTerror Abraxas as well. Hopefully their next one will be released this year some time.

Supreme band, without question. Everything they've done is just fantastic.

But Cold Steel is certainly their best. Most metal album ever.

I love the Violence ep, and their full lengths. Hard to choose which LP is my fav. I'm really keen for the new one.

Tracks like Endless Stream Of Bombers, I Am The Wargod, Lone Wolf Winter, Clenched Fist, and Satan's Hammer never fail me. Amazing band.

This threead has been done to death, buuuuuutttttttt....

Phoenix Rising wins for me, all of the songs are brilliant, although Cold Steel is also quite brilliant. Honestly haven't gotten into UtW too much, I love the title track which is probably their best song, but to me everything else on the album is kind of boring. Terror Abraxas was decent, but the song with the clean vocals is terrible.

Phoenix Rising was the first album of theirs I got into, and I love "Lone Wolf Winter" the most off of it. The riffs just kick so much ass. Got Unchain The Wolves when I got back and, although I've only heard the first track, it's just about amazing as Phoenix Rising altogether.

You can never have enough Destroyer 666 appreciation threads, anyway "Lone Wolf Winter" is a fucking epic track.. 'How is it that I have become the Hunter and the Hunted and thought has become my enemy?"

Anyway, Unchain the Wolves for my favourite, followed by Phoenix Rising, then Six Songs with the Devil, Violence is the Prince of This World and Cold Steel. That being said they haven't released one bad thing as of yet.

As far as i know, the new album has been recorded and they are finalizing artwork or something like that, should be out in a month or two. Of course i'm not 100% sure of this though.

I like them but no fireworks. Just another solid band that's good to have around.

They are an excellent band and one of the greatest blackened thrash acts to ever exist. Unchain the Wolves is a godly anthemic display of Aussie metal.

They never fail to bore the fuck out of me. Unchain the Wolves just goes on and on and on without many delicious riffs. I haven't listened to it in about a year, so I will give it another try right now. Be right back....

Nope. BTW, I made it through most of the album, then got bored and put on Vengeance War 'till Death.

In that case perhaps try the VITPOTW ep it's closer to Bestial Warlust. Mind you Unchain The Wolves is probably the slowest release in the D666 discography.

That's the way it goes with most EP's i think. Vader - Art Of War i've seen for LP price.

Great band, one of my favourites. I don't actually like any of the EPs though.

Everything this band has done is classic. I personally like Cold Steel best, though Phoenix Rising is a close second. Terror Abraxas is a good EP because even though its only 5 songs, you can get a very good idea of all their nuances through it.

This. Everyone go and buy Nocturnal Graves' album NOW. Also look up a band called Cemetery Urn.

Agreed, I mean I always liked 'Australian and Antichrist', but after a couple of listens that was the only track I bothered listening to again.
