My second vest I started around '89. Originally I was going for more unknown/demo bands, but then I threw Deicide and Sodom in there. Never quite finished it, though.

okay, this explains why another band named Disturbed was added on there. i was thinking, "no it couldn't be the 'Down with the Sickness' Disturbed!"

Whenever people ask me if I like The Disturbed, I always ask which one, as if they're going to know who the first one is.

Very very nice!

I am really tempted to put mine up, but the back is not quite finished and I don't want to reveal it too soon.

A lot of sweet ones on here though. \m/

I applaud you for this masterpiece.

Currently, I've got a black army jacket with cut-off sleeves and Death's early logo as the main back patch. That's it for now. I have a couple of patches which I haven't come across to sewing on or ironing yet, but I'm really in need of a lot more. I'm hoping to score some at upcoming concerts.

i really like that one, Ibex. it is so slick and clean looking, with the patches and jacket color matching well. very nice!

and kinda random, but i have only seen on 2 different occasions of people wearing a metal vest/jacket of any kind; once at a movie theater where a guy had some 80s heavy metal (Ozzy, Maiden, etc) on it and some punk patches (dropkick murphys, flogging molly, etc) and also when i was in Hollywood there was a group meeting up with members all wearing metal shirts and jackets full of patches. it looked fucking awesome. if i was there on my own i would have gone to join them, but had to get going anyways. :-(

both of those sightings were at least 2+ years ago as well. nothing recently.

Especially for having D666, Nocturnal Breed, Impaled Nazarene, Necrovore and Ghoul on there.

I like it. Usually when people put that many patches on a jacket it looks bad but you pulled it off.

Holy shit that's so freaky, I was seriously thinking the last time I read this thread, "I wonder when Ibex_Ichor is going to come and show off his amazing jacket"... and here you go!

Lucky bitch, holy shit 2 Sarcofago, Dark Angel AND Nocturnal Breed.

Got a denim jacket from wal-mart (either because I'm lazy or because spur of the moment decisions aided by conveniently placed cheap stores is totally underground, you be the judge) and have ordered several patches from Rockabilia.

Right now I've got waiting:
Master of Puppets back patch (because my brother claimed the shirt)
Megadeth logo
Anthrax logo
Exodus logo

I'm mostly into classic thrash and florida death metal, so I'll collect more and post a picture as soon as it's decent.

Protip: Don't order from Rockabilia. Every order i've placed with them has had something end up backordered for an obscenely long amount of time.

I've ordered at least 8 shirts from the site and have had no issues.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

I don't know if it's noticeable in the picture, but on the pocket on the left side I had the Dead trilogy in order from Night, Dawn, and Day. However I lost the Dawn of the Dead button. I'm pissed about it, haha. Oh well, at least I've still got Bub!

And I'm probably going to go further down with the cone studs, right above the Burzum logo.

Kind of late coming into this, but I thought I'd share mine (still a 'work in progress') I just laid out most of my patches on the front of it. Only the LifeLover patch is sewn on. The patches on the back are done, and I killed my fingers last night studding it. I have a newfound respect for anyone that can do it! Took me forever. I'm still waiting for my Shining, Arckanum, and Khold patches. Pins so far include Graveland, I'm In A Coffin, Infernal War, Wolfpack, Book of Black Earth, and the Gears of War logo (couldn't resist) I plan on buying a vintage german iron cross badge/ribbon to lay next to the Infernal War patch. Battle jacket? Thy will be done!

How do you guys put the patches on your jacket? By hand, or with a sewing machine?
Mine are all hand sewn. Took me hours to get the back patch on, the first time I put it on it was too crooked.

I put my ex-girlfriend to work on mine (probably why she's now my ex! haha) at first, but ended up having to get the back patches sewn on in a little dry-cleaner/alterations shop. The look on their faces upon me bringing it in was priceless. I don't see myself learning how to sew any time soon, honestly. I'm too much of a clutz.

Thanks man. The Nifelheim patch was a limited run by "Down With The Most High." Every couple of months he produces some AWESOME fucking patches with the consent of the bands. I know he's done a Watain and Archgoat patch so far. The Nifelheim one is made out of synthetic leather and silver stitching. Here's his page for future reference. Keep an eye out!

Had to dig this one up, haven't worn it in years. It's pretty bad, I know (note the over-abundance of Slayer and Death patches), but it was my first and only vest and not really a serious endeavor at any point...

Thank you. I've since removed the patches from that camo vest and am places them on a black denim vest.

That Sargeist backpatch was actually a shirt. I got the Typhus patch at Abyss Records though they're gone now. However DarkHorizon666.com should have Typhus patches still.

I just bought a Silencer patch from Nattrams' website, for his Industrial band. Go there and e-mail the guy. $4 - that's with shipping included.

Here is my leather vest I got just about two weeks ago:
Image

Still not many patches on it, and I'm not intending to get a whole lot more. I'm still looking for one more logo-backpatch to put on the back, but it's hard to find. I want to find a Dismember backpatch, either a logo cut-out or a regular back patch with the logo quite large so I can cut it out (that's how I got the Hypocrisy patch)

Extinction of Mankind -- right on. At one point I considered using an EOM "Baptised in Shit" backpatch on this vest.

About the Nortt patch -- it was actually a shitty backpatch of the LIGFAERD cover. Problem was, the "ghost" figure came out looking like a gigantic jizz stain due to a cruddy printing job I assume, so I decided to cut the logo off of it (basically, I just cut the backpatch in half.) Was real simple. I JUST sewed it onto my vest, so I'll take some more pictures shortly. I believe I got that from Kreation Records.

Heres mine. Im only 14, so I don't really have 30 different patches from underground black metal bands and such. All the bands are really well known. Ibex_Ichor already did a better black vest with the same Burzum backpatch, but whatever. Every one hand sewn (well except for the little CC logo, that shit was Iron on! But corpse kinda fell off...)
