Any idea of what happened to this band? Any fans on MA?

To the Depths... is a monster of a death metal album. Riffs, riffs, and more riffs, plus some fucking sinister atmosphere, and a near perfect drum sound.

Good album with some nice doomy moments and crazy vocal work. I have yet to purchase it though.

One of my absolute favorite albums. Last I knew it was still available from Moribund Records for like $10. The demo is worth checking out as well; fairly different, not as distinctive, but still worthwhile. The drummer, Dario, is in Seattle area death metal band 'Drawn and Quartered.' Not sure what the other members have been up to, but I don't think they've been active in extreme metal since the breakup of the band.

Coincidentally, I'm just now giving Disembowelment's "Transcendence into the Peripheral" a first listen at the moment and I don't know how this flew under my radar for so long. I'm only two songs in, but this shit is fucking brilliant, and the only thing I've ever heard that can compare to that Infester album. Both get my highest recommendation.

Edit: Scratch that; Imprecation's "Theurgia Goetia Summa" was fairly similar too, but not as good as Infester or Disembowelment.

These guys along with Goatlord are just really good bands who put out quality death metal in the early 90's (thast was unique), and just disappeared, while leaving you wanting more.
