Forget Download and Leeds/Reading festivals. Bloodstock is the only true metal festival in the UK. Bloodstock 09 takes place at Catton Hall Derbyshire on 14 -16 August. Due to the crowd limit of around 10,000 you are never very far away from the stage. It has a great metal market,
bands playing the main stage usually have a signing session and there is even a guitar hero competition. There is vip camping as well which includes a pass to the backstage vip area. Basic ticket costs 85GBP if purchased before 15th December. Bands announced so far are
KATATONIA, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, TURISAS, THE HAUNTED, WINTERSUN, SABATON AND CANDLEMASS.
