Last night Exodus played El Corazon and it was one of the best shows I had ever seen! They took the stage at 11:30 and finished around 1:30. The setlist was as follows:

Iconoclasm
Funeral Hymn
Children of a Worthless God
Deathamphetamine
Blacklist
Fabulous Disaster
War is My Shepherd

Encore:
Bonded by Blood in its enitirety
Toxic Waltz

I had never seen anything that like that. I never have really liked Rob Dukes but after last night I have a new respect for him. I was wondering what anyone else thinks about the band now, or him, or the re-recording of Bonded.

I saw them a while back, was a great show, a good mix of old and songs and I liked Rob Duke's vocals before the gig anyway. He was pretty funny on stage as well. You were damn lucky getting all of Bonded by Blood as an encore, bet that was fantastic! I haven't lsitened to the re-recording yet as I didn't see the point in it, but may as well give it a try.

Thou shall not speak about the mother-fucking-Cradle-of-Filth-seems-like-Judas-fucking-Priest-compared-to-this-assrape-of-a-recording that is the re-recorded version of Bonded By Blood. All I have to say about that.

The re-recording is worth listening to. Its different but it in no way sucks and Rob pulls everything off quite well. I couldn't believe that they would play Bonded in Seattle though, you'd think they'd play that in their hometown or something. It was apparently scheduled just for two dates, Seattle and Hollywood.

Sadly, they didn't play Bonded By Blood as an encore. They played Let There Be Blood as an encore. :(

Isnt it Bonded by Blood gone groove metal- complete with downtuned guitars, sterile sounding recording, and slower tempos?

Fuck, even Death Magnetic was tuned to estandard and had some parts that cleverly recalled the 80s more than "groovecoring" it up.

Sorry, couldnt resist mentioning that..

When I saw them last year that was almost the identical setlist (minus the encore other than Toxic Waltz and Piranha). Whether you like Rob Dukes or not, it's hard to deny the energy they have live.

Plus playing the better of the newer songs like Children of a Worthless God and Deathamphetamine is so much fucking fun live cuz those songs kick ass.

Hah, it was a pretty good show. DeadHead487, if you saw the guy walking around in the Blasphemy shirt, that was me. I got to do the lights for Funeral Age too, which is why it looked so shitty. It was pretty funny when they started the Slayer cover and everyone was freaking out

EDIT: Criminally Insane, It got kinda cut off and vocals are really low...

Basicly it is as you described it. Somewhere Baloff is preparing his baseball bat to bash Dukes' and Holt's face in for this travesty.

I've always liked those guys and have never had a problem with Dukes. they're actually down to earth and pretty damn friendly when you hang out with them.

Yeah, I remember seeing you there. It was funny that no one was in to anything until they played criminally insane, but they were pretty good.

I saw Exodus quite a few months ago in Allentown and saw Dukes walking about before they played wearing a plaid hoodie with the hood up. Silly Dukes, he was still recognizable because of his beard!

Exodus without Paul Baloff is like Obituary without John Tardy or even Candlemass without Messiah Marcolin.
