Thier last album, The Final Battle was their best in my opinion. Michael Sweet has been on a roll lately with Sweet & Lynch, Sunbomb and Iconic. I am looking forward to this!

The last few Stryper albums have indeed been really good to great, but none surpass “Soldiers”, imo.

Love his work in the three other bands you mentioned above.

George Lynch writing riffs in a few hours and emailing the files hasn't produced anything worthwhile. Those albums with Sweet are yawn.

I've made a comp of the heaviest modern Stryper with some of the re-recorded classics. All I really need.

Surprisingly I prefer the modern Stryper to their 80's stuff. My classic Stryper pick is Against the Law.

Could disagree more. The most recent album is fantastic.

Having never previously listened to Stryper, I was kinda surprised to find that the previous album was pretty good. Will definitely check this out if its more in the same vein

I like Fallen and think it is a rewarding listen but I love that The Final Battle and God Damn Evil both got heavier and catchier.

Every time a good riff makes it to a Stryper album, it is tragically prevented from making it to a good album.

Started playing The Final Battle and track one starts off promising.

That was pretty good after a full listen. I'll be giving it more spins. That dude still has some pipes on him to be sure.

I saw them live a year or two ago. They absolutely killed it and Michael delivered a stellar vocal performance.
I hadn't kept up with their recent albums but that gig converted me.
