Can anyone help me identify this oldschool death/thrash demo? Ignore the labeling; I downloaded it as Bal-Sagoth's 1993 demo but it's clearly not.

track 1
track 2
track 3
track 4

I am trying to find a female fronted band I came across here a few months ago. The reviewer described the band as a female fronted Nevermore. They probably have a couple of albums. And the chick was probably a redhead. Ring any bells?

A 2 second forum search for "female Nevermore" :

- Innergate
If you imagine Nevermore with female vocals, you'd get Innergate from Zagreb. Great live band fronted by fantastic Marijana Varga, they released self titled album in 2011 and EP called Clouded Sensorium in 2014.

I've come across several Dimmu Borgir songs which, supposedly, have a second version which is very different from the original one. All of them are supposed to belong to Abrahadabra and only two songs off the album don't seem to have second versions, which is even stranger... Yet, all these songs sound to 'black' to be by Dimmu Borgir. If anyone knows which songs these truly are, please let me know:

This song from late 80s stuck in my head till now. So think pre-90s thrash/early death metal. Problem is English is not my first language so back then I had no clue what the dude was singing however I cleary remember the beginning of the song was a spoken phrase by a lady with a first word Caution!...

Anyone can ID a band/album? Thx

Does anyone know this what this logo is? I saw it on Brian's Hoffman's shirt in When London Burns, just curious who it is if it's a band logo.

I read an article 2 or 3 years ago about an album. It was a concept work about holocaust or a concentration camp (of Auschwitz maybe). The genre was some kind of experimental/atmospheric stuff. I have no idea about the nationality of the artist but the songtitles/lyrics are in English and it is possible that the band is from the U.K. Besides the music, it was written a quite long essay (30-40? pages) about camps, holocaust and it was available in .pdf format.

Can anyone tell what album is this?

(not Ektomorf - Holocaust and not Horror of Naatu - No Hope for No One)

I'm trying to recall a fairly raw, melodic black metal band, and the only thing I can remember is an album cover with a bearded old man in robes(?) as the main subject of the cover, and I think it looked as if he was invoking something. I believe it was also a painted cover... and perhaps one of the themes of album was alchemy? I know the band in general has a 'grand' sound to their riffs/melodies, and they're fairly well-liked around these parts. Anyone got a clue?

I'm trying to figure out what song this is. It sounds like grind with some power violence from the early 2000's.

If not that, you don't remember anything else about what they sounded like?

looking for a doom track I forgot about until recently, from a female fronted band
I recall the lyrics going something like
"climb the horror mountain and you... /
a phantom... "
most probably one with psychedelic influences (?)

I googled the lyrics with several different search terms and found nothing. If it helps, there's a goddamm massive list of female-fronted doom metal bands, you can control+f and search for "psychedelic", see if something comes up. I did that myself, and there's two different bands that fit the criteria of "female-fronted psychedelic doom metal".

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/A_T ... 3540347995
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Blo ... 3540318499

Both have extremely naturistic and psychedelic lyrics. I checked the lyrics of every song on every available album, and, unfortunately, I was not able to find a lyrical passage of "climb the horror mountain and you" or "a phantom" (ctrl+f is your friend). But their lyrical content definitely pertains to the same type of spiritual and natural poetry. Check them out. If you're able to, check the list of female fronted doom metal and see if the album covers or names jog your memory.

When I was younger, maybe 20 years ago, I saw a metal CD in a local music store. It had satan giving the finger on the cover.

Anybody know of any CDs with satan giving the finger on them?

I think he was generally against keyboards in black metal!
BUT he mentioned one band and their album from the late 90s that did feature Nemtheanga-approved keyboards.
I remember streaming the album, thinking it was great - then completely forgot about it.
Black cover (possibly space) with maybe orange or red on it (planets, stars, fire?).
The band MAY have been Italian (possibly French).
The album title MAY have been in Italian, French or Latin (!!!).
Ring any bells? Anyone have old issues of Zero Tolerance?
Thanks! :)

[Edited twice for spelling mistakes]

Maybe Odium? Been while since Ive listened Odium so i dont know about how much keyboards there were... http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Odium/The_Sad_Realm_of_the_Stars/15927

Or Limbonic Art?

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Limbonic_Art/Ad_Noctum_-_Dynasty_of_Death/159801
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Limbonic_Art/In_Abhorrence_Dementia/2250
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Limbonic_Art/Moon_in_the_Scorpio/2249

Bands are from Norway though and titles are in english mostly

I FOUND MY OLD ISSUE OF ZERO TOLERANCE! The band is Monumentum and the album is In Absentia Christi: http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Monumentum/In_Absentia_Christi/35392
So the band was Italian, the title was in Latin but the cover wasn't black & spacey... Hah!

The intro sample is "I'll get you my darling..and your little dog too!" It's a sample from Wizard of Oz, the song is in death or thrash genre.

Had first cross-checked the lyrics of bands I suspected, including the above, but by psy it's more in the music than lyrics. Thanks anyway.

Unfortunately, that`s not it. I should have mentioned the Satan or devil or whatever is on the cover is red or orange. I do love Court in the Act by the way, awesome album!

I`m a fan of Rush, but I took this from the name of the song by Summoning of the same name.

I'm looking for a death metal band which I believe was american. It was pretty stripped down, simple drums and in general mid-tempo. I listened to two of their albums back when I discovered them, and one of them had a blue-ish album cover, the other I think was brown'ish/black, but I'm not sure. I also remember that one of the albums had this weird acoustic track with growled vocals.. Does this ring a bell to anyone?

What kind of things were on these album covers? With the current description, all I can think is Autopsy...

I found a band here once -- if I remember right, they were a death metal band -- whose lyrics had a lot to do with anatomy and the hidden connections between distant body parts. I think they had at least one album with lyrics about nothing but that -- things like the root of the tongue being linked to the thighs or something. I may have found them while curiously searching "esoterica" in the lyrics box of the Advanced Search engine. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Does anyone remember the name of an Icelandic (?) black metal band? They play this fucked up black metal with depressive themes and their latest album has a frowning face on it, made of blue and white swirls. Also it was great. I think the album was released this year, if not last.
