Great site!

For some reason I believe it's the song 'Change' by The Reign of Terror, from this album:
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Th ... ming/12623

I've never heard it, but what pointed me there was, that the vocals in the track you posted, sound like the guy from first album of Cyclone Temple. He ended up in The Reign of Terror on that album, and since ' change' is repeated in your song, I guess it's the song called 'Change'.

This is an album ID. The guy on the left - what album cover is on his shirt? Looks a bit like Osculum Obscenum or the Ugra Karma reissue cover.

So I stumbled across this band while searching for the Swans song of the same name: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PkflcJki0w

I really like it (from what I can hear through the terrible sound quality), but I can't seem to find more information, let alone music from the band. If anyone could point me towards a Myspace page or something, that would be wonderful. I've tried Discogs and this site but didn't see anything. I know it's not exactly what this thread is for, but I figure it's close enough and beats making an entirely new one...

Someone sent me a link to this video asking me to help ID the song. I can barely hear the song since the volume is so low. It sounds like Dio or The Scorpions. Can anyone ID this song? Thanks.

I know it's not really a band ID thread, but I'm sure someone can help me with this band I found like two years ago:
1. They were definitely a Funeral Doom band
2. The keyboards were about of the same usage as all of the genre, but the guitars were significantly louder
3. VERY neoclassical guitar solos on all the songs off the album
4. The cover was black, and I'm pretty sure there was a generic skull on it, but I can't for the life of me remember exactly
5. I'm pretty sure they were either German or Norwegian, but, once again, I'm not actually sure
I know it's not a lot of information, but I'm sure somebody will have an "ah-ha!" moment. Maybe.

There's a song I can't place that's driving me insane, maybe someone here can help.

it's uptempo, probably melodic death or black metal but I can't think of the band. Here's a shitty mixcraft version of the riff

Can anyone help me remember and album? It was a power metal type album and the cover had like some guy meditating with a bunch of impossible objects floating around him, it was a grey/yellow cover if I remember, they also had another album that had a blue cover. Thanks

No, that's not it but the cover is close, but if I remember right it was a drawn cover and the man had his back facing the front. I do know it was a power metal one.

Hi All,

I heard a song/band over the P.A. at Sunday nights Municipal Waste show in Sydney which I've been trying to identify but had no luck.
I might not be spot on with the lyrics as I heard it a couple of days ago now, but I hope someone can ID it. It's one of the best songs I've heard.

The sound is like an early 80's speed metal sound similar to early Exciter, but with a more hardcore punk vocals.
The lyrics are something like 'I can't stop/I need it/I gotta get it/I gotta get it from somewhere.
I'm not sure if it's from the 80's or a newer band.

Thanks!

There was a progressive metal band with clean vocals that had a video in which little paper people and a little paper city were put through a paper shredder. It's been playing in my head forever now but I cannot remember the name of the song or band for the life of me right now.

can anyone help me to identify this band and song?

http://youtu.be/uRG6Fk2Biss

it came mixed with some unrelated torrents, i guess from other software like soulseek, but i just can't find from what band that came from, and i think it's pretty great sounding, sounds like some of the bands from RHINOCERVS or CREPUSCULO NEGRO but i couldn't find wich one yet, the voice is even pretty similar to the drummer from FELL VOICES, and was one of the best ones i've heard as of late

if someone could help me

Not metal, but I'm trying to find a french song with french female vocals and a accordion. I really don't know how to describe it any better because I can't copy paste my own humming, but I do know it's a very iconic and well known song. I do remember someone shouting "ay ay aaaay!" at some point in the song. It has also been covered numerous times, or atleast the accordion bit has been used by a lot of different artists.

SOLVED.

It turned out to be The Lambada.

My situation appears to be pretty hopeless. A few years ago I looked through a few youtube videos which were DSBM compilations. One song stayed with me but I´ve forgotten all about it. I've tried to find it again but there are so goddamn many of those compilations up there now. Here is what I know about this song:

1) It was included in one of those DSBM compilation videos in youtube.
2) It was definitely MELODIC black metal. It had the most haunting guitar riff/melody which lasted quite a while.
3) The whole song was like 5-6 minutes long.

I'm going to search it for a few hours myself now. Any suggestions welcome.

I need help with this song. I can remember some of the lyrics going"____ from outer space ____for the human race" in almost goofy/clean vocals but it having a fast beat accompanying it as well. Maybe almost an old thrash song possibly. Its been driving me nuts all day so any help would be a plus. Thanks.

Are you talking about Agent Steel's "Bleed for the Gods?"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRXXfkb7XCo

The "goofy/clean vocals" part certainly fits! And it does contain the lyrics "Offerings to the gods from space, condemning all the human race."

Sup guys, i'm Chris. Metalhead from Los Angeles.

Official first post. I've always wanted to join and finally found a reason to. lol.

It's been bothering me for the better part of 3 years now. I once saw a video of a Thrash metal band. I THINK they were Canadian, but not 100% sure. The band is pretty much playing in a room. A little into the video, this girl walks in in a nightgown (I think) and the vocalist begins to sacrifice her. Should be late 80s/early 90s. The video is not gory in any way, it is low budget and kind of funny. I've been through a lot of Canadian bands on youtube and have no leads whatsoever. I am desperate.
I swear it is driving me insane. Everyone I've asked has not been able to help and I am about to lose it.

Hi guys, so I'm looking for a song.

Few months ago, I discovered Passage from Arcturo from Rotting Christ on Youtube. The video included a seventh track with lots of keyboards, a keyboard intro, even a keyboard solo at the end. I can't remember if the song even had a name on the video description.
One day the video's poster was deleted and the video along with him. Then I've looked for info on Passage to Arcturo everywhere, and it just seems like this great track never existed. I bought the Passage to Arcturo reissue with Non Serviam and there's no trace of it either, even on bonus tracks.
Then today I stumbled upon this : http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 862#421862 which suggests that there really is a last track on Passage to Arcturo which was cut off with the reissue. But the strange thing is that it doesn't appear on any tracklist on the internet.

Anyone have a clue on it ? I absolutely loved this song and it really frustrates me a lot.

No, Sacrifice is the first band I tried lol. I don't know, im losing hope now. It was definitely thrash. Was also definitely faster paced song. So if they ARE canadian. That rules out DBC, Voivod, Annihilator (I think)... etc. And it definitely wasnt Razor.
