Hey guys,

Trying to remember this highly acclaimed black metal album around 2010-2012 (I think); a pretty melodic brand of black metal whose riffs were very "medieval"-y. I believe the album cover was a stained glass mural that reflected its medieval influence. I BELIEVE it had fairly reverby production, could be wrong though.

Thanks!

Obsequiae springs to mind. Ticks most of the boxes, though the cover isn't stained glass, it's a medieval tapestry.

That's exactly it! Thank you. When I said stained glass, my brain just threw out the first thing associated with "medievally". A tapestry is fine as well! :P

Hey guys,

A few years ago I accidentally stumbled upon a Death Metal band on iTunes (I think they were a little Deathgrind-ish). They were a one man band and apparently the guy behind the project did a bunch of other stuff. I found his discography I think on this site and it was one of the longest things I've seen for a single artist. Seriously, it was ridiculous, and most of the bands I think were just him. He was bald, had facial hair, and was like 40. Anyone have any idea who I'm talking about?

Specifically the song "Darkside." (I didn't know this offhand; I did a lyric search. I can't even find the actual song or demo on YT.)

Okay this is gonna be a tough one. I'm looking for a song that starts off with a Ghostbusters quote: "Real wrath of god type stuff - Fire, Brimstone, coming down from the skies! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes! The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!!" Then after that great Bill Murray line, it starts into some sort of blast beat, and thats about all I can tell you about the song because I have only heard that far into it.

I saw it in the latest Creature Skateboards video "CSFU" and it is the opener for Sam Hitz's part, who is by the way, the man. Anyway, heres the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0Nbkxy7E48

The song starts at 22:00 and ends at 22:18. Sorry, not much to work with. But quite a recognizable intro.

There was this Mexican or US one man black metal band that had 3 full-length albums out, pretty recent as in post-2000. Someone was comparing them to Mütiilation as they had a similar "creepy atmosphere". The band's name was one word that I think also started with an M, all his albums had color in the artwork, I specifically remember a lot of red.

Looking for a band I heard on Pandora, of all places. The ONE time they played me something I didn't already know. It really reminded me of newer Septicflesh slowed waaaay down. I definitely remember either the band name or song title being Latin and the song being very long. Not much to go on, let me know if you have any clue!

Song length aside, could it be Insanity Reigns Supreme? ("Cultus Insanus Damnatus" is the song.)

The album art obviously brings Septicflesh to mind as well, ha.

Anything info on this? I'm thinking mid-late 90's black metal, probably Norwegian or Swedish by the sound.

Hi there,

I am looking for an album of a Death Metal / Grindcore band I heard once in a second hand store many years ago, circa 1993 to 1998.

The only thing I can remember is that there was a really funny fake satanic intro with evil sounds, animals in the background (goats etc.) and funny german bad language. One sentence was something like "ich will in deine moese spritzen" which translates roughly to "I want to cum in your pussy". The style of the intro was a bit similar to the samples Impaled Nazarene uses on "Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz", especially the goats.

I don't even think that this was even a german band, because there was a heavy accent on the words.

I know this is not that much of information, but maybe anyone can remember this band or album. It has to be released before 1993, because that's the year I really got into metal and had never heard such music before.

Oh, it's not Pungent Stench, btw.

Hey guys so I need some help in this because I completely forgot the name of this band...I'm talking about a black metal band from sweden( 70% sure about this) that just had the creepiest/scariest song I've ever heard...I believe that they had a pretty generic name and their style is pretty much normal black metal but they had one particular song that scared the shit out of me and truly scary
I think that the name of the band or song is called with/wizard/ritual (my memory tells me it's something about that)
The band isn't particurlaly well known too

I'm looking for a band which supposedly plays industrial black metal, the cover had shades of orange, with a guy wearing a gas mask (or perhaps more than one, could be a band's photo) on the front.
However they didn't sound very industrial sound-wise, very little actually.
I'm 100% sure the name of the band was one word not very big and not very small, like a word with around 10 letters, I think
Also I'm about 70% sure the initial letter was either 'N' or 'H'. Also it wasn't a well known band.
Apart from that I can't remember much, perhaps anyone knows them?

In Zero Tolerance Magazine either last year or the year before, in Alan "Nemtheanga" Averill's column he mentioned that when he heard "La Masquerade Infernale" by Arcturus he described it as music made by middle-class Norwegians and went on to talk about keyboards in (black?) metal.
I think he was generally against keyboards in black metal!
BUT he mentioned one band and their album from the late 90s that did feature Nemtheanga-approved keyboards.
I remember streaming the album, thinking it was great - then completely forgot about it.
Black cover (possibly space) with maybe orange or red on it (planets, stars, fire?).
The band MAY have been Italian (possibly French).
The album title MAY have been in Italian, French or Latin (!!!).
Ring any bells? Anyone have old issues of Zero Tolerance?
Thanks! :)

so ive been looking up and down for a song / band for ages but can't seem to find any luck, i know had it faved on you tube a while back, the genre was black metal im pretty sure, definitely wwii themed, the only line of the lyrics i can remember is "cut down in a hail of bullets" and the video was the famous normandy invasion from saving private ryan, i also remember the the band being related to marduk and pagan hammer on the side bar, anyways im at a total loss and really would love to find this song

Just a thought, but you're not thinking of Arcturus' first album "Aspera Hiems Symfonia", are you? The colour is green, not orange/red, but it might be it.

Alternatively, is it Akhenaton's "Divine Symphonies" album? They're French, loads of keyboards in there (in fact it's a 50% split between dungeon synth and black metal), and the cover is orange/red.

This one will be an easy one for you guys but I just can't frigging remember the name of that death metal band. It's there, I can barely grab it but it's in vain. They've been around since the nineties and they've been criticized many times about their songs being too lenghty, rarely clocking under 5 to 6 minutes per songs. Their style is typical no-brainer death metal and their latest album (I believe) pictures the christ being crucified. The artwork, to my knowledge is very blue-ish. So, you know what I'm talking about, right ?

Okay, I've been trying to find a band for awhile. They used to be on here, and... might still be?

The name was something like "The Drop of Water That Can Break Through a Stone" but I don't think it was exactly that.

For the record, I know nothing about them other than their name, it's just that they had a really odd name. They may have been from an Asian nation?

(Note: Not checking the thread anymore, if you know, email [ imperialkodnarok AT gmail DOT com ] )

So, I'm looking for this newer death metal band that are almost like an old-school Pestilence worship band. I think they had a short band name like Putrid or Rot, but it's neither of those. I remember their album cover had a lot of green on it, similar to that Disma record perhaps.

hello
I have a couple of tracks here from back in the Audio Galaxy days, before mp3 tagging became a thing, I wanna see if you guys can give the tracks a listen and help me identify the bands

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2el2929n9s6y ... VG7Ra?dl=0

you can click on the little speaker icon to listen to the files. all the tracks are titled "Unknown Artist" followed by the beginning letter range of the bands name, I made a couple of guesses but i'm not sure

i've posted on other forums and ppl are helping me out, here's what i got so far

Quote:
Unkown Artist At (maybe Atheist)" is indeed Atheist's On They Slay (a demo version)
The vocalist of "Unkown Artist 3 4" reminds me a little of the Gorefest guy

"Ag-Al 3" is Aghora's Immortal Bliss, apparently. The YouTube comments for it suggest that your version is some old keyboard-containing demo that disappeared from the internet a while ago, so that's pretty neat.

Does anybody know the Russian/Ukraine NS band who used the same ragnarok painting in one of their albums that bathory used for blood fire death? There was a thread for them some years ago here and I'm curious to check them out.

I found this song on a download of Sabbat's demo Born by Evil Blood, claiming to be the song Satanic Rites, but it's not. I've compared with songs of similar length from other Sabbat demos, and I haven't found a match. Does anyone know what it is?

you can click on the little speaker icon to listen to the files. all the tracks are titled "Unknown Artist" followed by the beginning letter range of the bands name, I made a couple of guesses but i'm not sure

Be-Bh is Bethlehem - Alles tot

I really need help to remember one song I now heard via a facebook video.

https://www.facebook.com/MrHDProd/video ... 762260592/

Right at the beginning.

It sounds so familiar to me... Iron Maiden? Enforcer?

It should actually be pretty easy to remember, but after listening only to newer output sometimes my brain deletes old memories connected with songs which should actually be remembered pretty easy...
