This song is incorrectly credited to Guardian, a band that at no point played death metal.

It kinda sounds like Kataklysm, but I don't know which song.

Alright, was reading a discussion on Christian metal and I was reminded about this Christian metal album (may have been rock, I really remember NOTHING about the music itself). All I remember is that it was gifted to me when I started getting into metal by a concerned religious family member.
The cover was prison bars, and a sort of browned demon/monster hand was reaching between the bars. The album would be early to mid 90s probably.
Sorry, not much to go on.

Edit- Ah, it's Tourniquet. I thought it was, but missed the album because it's a greatest hits. Fun to listen to things you haven't heard in 25 years.

I’m looking for a thrash metal band’s album I used to listen to back the early 2010’s. It was (I think?) a German band with a witch on the cover and their was a song at the end of album about witches and the song ends with the vocalist shouting obscenities (ie you goddamn bitch, whore, etc.) and the very last song was about alcohol I think. I know they definitely weren’t an 80’s band and were one of the many post 2000’s thrash bands. Any help would be appreciated

Could it possibly be Vortex- Them Witches?
Just going out on a limb here, but I think I remember hearing a song on this album that fits that description, and the last song is definitely about booze. I'd have to re listen to it to recall, I think I listened to it one and done. The time frame of its release doesn't fit your time frame though, as it was 2019.
Thought I'd try and help anyway.
Good Luck.

Hello MA

I'm looking for this song which was taken from a DJ set. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnGL_Iz2hIY Any ideas?

Here's everything that's known about it:
─KNOWN CLUES─
● Released on vinyl, LP-Album.
• Black label with a single line of text on the bottom (Most likely a copyright and reproduction warning text) and 5 rows of text on the left side (Most likely the tracklisting for one of the sides which means this could be from an album and not just an ordinary 12" with a few tracks.) There is also a small print above this text, which is most likely the turntable speed and stereo/mono label.
• Image of said label: https://imgur.com/a/7lpXlkj
● Featured on an unknown WFMU show.
• It was played in its entirety and it is 6-7 minutes long.
• It apparently was one of the first songs of the program.
• It was aired between May-August of 2005.
• It was assumed it played on a show straight after Fabio's Strength Through Failure, however, that has been confirmed it is not the case.
● It has a long vocal intro with bells. It is also very heavy and has progressive elements. Quite unique style too. It also has a crazy guitar and an orchestral feel to it
● According to the DJ himself, he has forgotten the source, but he thinks it came off some metal album from New Jersey.

The artist and song title is not known, but the song is mainly known as "Better Off Dead" or "BOD" for short (due to the lyrics heard in the song).

─HEARD INSTRUMENTS─
● Bells
● Drums
● Electric bass
● Electric guitar
● Flexatone
● Gong
● String instrument like a plucked violin?
● Vocals

NOTE!!! The thunder-sounding guitar during each gong hit, the chugging guitar during the second half (when the drums are playing) and the ending drum fill are NOT part of "BOD". They are instead mixed in with Sound Barrier - Born To Be Wild as this specific recording was taken from a DJ set!

─LYRICS─
"I sit here."
"Holding my head."
"I often wonder."
"If I'd be better off dead."

Bump. I think this could be some sort of a private press heavy metal or something

In the early 90s a friend of mine had a huge DM tape collection. I’m looking for one he had, but do not know the name. It had a possessed woman/ person sitting up in bed. I believe it was a real picture. They looked pretty crazy. At the time it was a very shocking album cover to me. Now I want to check it out. That’s all I have. Ring a bell for anyone?

Looking for a thrash/ power metal song that starts with an "evil" laughter during the first riff. In my head it's loosely connected to Metal Church, but I am not sure about this.

Thanks, but unfortunately it's not this one. In my memory, the song directly starts with the laughter underneath the riff.

I'm trying to find a death metal album. I believe the album cover was reddish-orange. It was released in the mid-late 90s or early 2000s at the latest and was in the OSDM style. The band put out one death metal album before either changing their name or having members go on to form a new band that played nu metal or alt-metal. I can't recall the name of the band or the album, but remember the death metal album being very good. Any ideas on who it may be?

Edit: figured it out. Death metal band was Dominus, they later became Volbeat.

This isn't 100% certain, but here goes.

The credits mention an original song called "Demonic Strength" written by Danny Dikel, Evan Husney, and Mark Raskin. Go to 9:43 and you hear the guy mention two cards "Demonic Tutor" and "Unholy Strength." I'm guessing the song played shortly after is that very same "Demonic Strength" with the name being a combination of the two card names. Just my two cents. Kind of had fun looking into this.

Interesting, because when I played it I thought it sounded a heck of a lot like Candlemass; similar guitar tone and playing style, but yet, after playing the first couple albums front to back (Hadn't listened to them in a long while) I still couldn't place the song. I, too was curious about it.

Hello, I've been looking for the title of a song for 4 years now ^^'
It's lyrical metal, a man-woman duo in English. I no longer have the words because english is not my first language but the tune is like this: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/nxc2nlfneig51ibg5izcc/chercher.aac?rlkey=is1rqvzic7fo297odpap8moj9&dl=0
If anyone recognizes it that would be great :)

Hi, I am looking for a dissonant death metal album, with a black and white cover, very similar to the album Primordial Malignity by Tomb Mold with the salvation that a monster instead of a skeleton is shown. It was on YouTube at the same time that this album was released.

Edit: I FOUND IT!!!!

Can someone please help me remember a song that's Brutal Death Metal/Slam that uses a sample from a movie at the start of the song that says something along the lines of... "Pathetic. You interviewers are all the same asking the same questions. Wondering if there is some hidden motive behind what I do. Has it ever occurred to you that some of us just like to fucking kill?!"

Crepitation, Cephalotripsy, Epicardiectomy were the bands I had in mind but I don't think they are it. Other info is that the song might be from 2009/2012(?) and it's extremely fast at least 330 BPM (or 165 bpm) however you wish to see it, drums are definitely programmed. And I think it had a music video?

EDIT: Found it!

I remember reading of a German musician who played in a krautrock band in the 70s, and was later a member of a death metal group in the 90s. I think he played different instruments in each of the respective bands, and has passed away, but am not sure.

Hello, hopefully someone could help me identifying this band, which is kind of death/doom, but very melodic, very keyboard driven and yet somewhat primitive, from an age where this style was still developing so this still doesnt sound overly generic and predictable.

This is an old record I made from radio, I dont even remember when and why I recorded this, though I think it would have been at some moment between 1998 and 2005.

It was recorded in a tape from AM transmission, so quality its poor but the song is discernible, and over the years I always wanted to know who were this band and album, I even contacted the guy who played this on radio, and he was willing to help though I never got to play him this recording and he died later in 2013.

I once came across this band on YouTube that had very calm clean female vocals and metal guitars on the background. Lots of palm-muting. They had one song on Spotify. They were some live videos of them playing, on YouTube. They were very young. They could be around 16-17. I thought their name was called "Chicago Rising" or "Cleaveland Rising" but it seems I am mistaken. The girl who sung, had a somewhat emo/goth look with piercings on her face. There was one video where there was a band photo and I'm pretty sure she either wore camo pants or basic green pants. I found out about this band last year and it wasn't on Metal Archives and still is not here. The band was from USA.

Can you help me remember it?
