Anyone else miss Michael Whelan's work? I'm tired of photoshop "art".

Winds - Reflections Of The I

Nobody mentioned Kristian Wåhlin (a.k.a. Necrolord) yet? I'm surprised. He made the godly covers of the first two Dissection albums as well as the Live Legacy album, Bathory's Blood on Ice and Nordland I & II, Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse (someone mentioned that album already), Ensiferum's albums, King Diamond's Voodoo and Wintersun's S/T.

The woodcarving used for In the Nightside Eclipse was done by some guy from the 1800s.

Mortician - "Chainsaw Dismemberment" is the above. Does anyone know who did Cryptopsy's "Blasphemy Made Flesh"'s and Graveworm's "Eternal Winds" covers? I can't find out who.

The demolition hammer painting is fucking awesome.....the man exposing his bones as well as the ghoulish figure behind the window were no where to be found in the epidemic cover art...which is why I never thought much about it.
