I have to say I'm REALLY impressed with the two new songs so far. There's a lot of dramatic buildup and that tempo change about halfway into Defenders... is just ridiculously awesome.

Really looking forward to this, the two songs so far sound great. I like their shift on their last album and even more so on this one (if the two samples area anything to judge by) to a cleaner and more sweeping, epic sound, while still keeping a dark feel. It fits with what they're trying to do with telling the story of that dark era in Taiwan's history - it's sort of like a soundtrack to a historical epic.

I hope this release presages another US tour! (And that this time, Freddy's erhu doesn't get messed up during the solo )

I see they've moved their wardrobe to some strange looking sci-fi theme. Freddy looks funny and so does CJ's mask.

"Defenders..." was alright, but it doesn't get really good until 2:28 till the end. I do like how it builds up to that point though.
