Eventide was an interesting surprise. The demo is very similar to "A Sense of Purpose" with good vocals and production.

Anatellon Tromos is a DIY Thrash Metal / Crust Punk band that has its album for free in diymusic.org a site that is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 (Copyleft instead of Copyright) so their download is absolutely legal.

You can find their album here -> Link.(track by track download)

PS: Can someone fix the first link?

It is always good to post the source of such links to avoid deletion by the mods, which can happen in case a link looks suspicious... this one above has been taken from the band's MySpace site.

I don't think these ones were already in this thread, so I add them:

BLACK LEAVES - Folk/Gothic Metal --- Their two demos "Nightfall" and "Promo 2001" can be downloaded here (it's their official website): http://www.blackleaves.hu/html_eng/letoltesek.html

CASSIOPEIA - Atmospheric/Symphonic Metal --- "Eye of Time" and "Duality" downloadable here: http://www.ceebeeit.nl/cassiopeia/music.html

DINKY DAU - Heavy Metal/Hard Rock --- "Mundo Oscuro, Mundo Frio" and "Esceptico": http://www.dinkydau.es/med.htm

DRACENA - Heavy/Death Metal --- their two demos are available for free here: http://www.dracena.net/html/mp3.html

DYING TEARS - Symphonic Gothic/Doom Metal --- their first demo is downloadable: http://dyingtears.free.fr/English/accue ... e=extraits

HUMAN GROUND - Progressive/Melodic Death Metal --- their "Demo 2004": http://humanground.net/en/music/demo_2004.html

There are others but now I'm too lazy to add them...

They are already here: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=128147
If it's really mp3 only then report it in "Cleansing the archives, a.k.a. WHY WAS BAND X ACCEPTED?!?!" thread.

I did and in a review, to Witcher drew my attention, a CD-R was mentioned in the title... the band seems to be valid after all; I will edit my post above to avoid further confusion.

Illogicist (Italian technical death metal) has their first demo available for free: http://www.illogicist.com/media.htm

Pretty good stuff. It feels sort of tech-y without being wanktastic, partly from the straightforward thrashy passages.
