Direct link : http://www.mediafire.com/?atnyuemgygh

This is a young death metal band from Rimouski, Quebec called Severe Infection.

I took the link from their myspace : http://www.myspace.com/severeinfection and it is sanctioned by the band, they said themselves last time I saw them live to go download and share it.

Enjoy,

Argentinian gothic/doom/folk metal band The Unborn has just made their trilogy "The Second Birth" available to download on their official website: http://www.the-unborn.com/
Look on the "mp3 discografía" section.

Sludge/doom metal band Funeral Hag have their demo up for free download at Last.fm (scroll down):

http://www.last.fm/music/Funeral+Hag

Death-thrashers McGalligog have debut EP up for free download at their MySpace page:

Here's the MySpace and the link they posted:

http://www.myspace.com/mcgalligog

http://rapidshare.com/files/390019039/Delusions_Of_Madness__320_VBR_.rar

EDIT: Gothic/death band Amadea have their debut EP available for free download at their official homepage (scroll down):

http://www.amadeamusic.hu/hun/disco/menu.html

A note about Amadea; at the top of the page are 2 mp3s from their more recent 3-track demo, which is a much preferrable offering. The gothic and death fusion works leagues better, it's faster, heavier and all-over solid.

Secnd edit: Melodic heavy metal band Mr. Hyde (Pol) are streaming their EP "Walking Around" at their MySpace... great stuff.

http://www.myspace.com/bloodyhyde

Enjoy.

Two questions, they have probably been answered but I'm too lazy to read 21 forum pages ATM.

1. Are LastFM free mp3 downloads considered band-sanctioned? They have to pass LastFM's in-house validation process to be available for download.

2. If the answer to #1 is yes, and a band has a full album of free mp3s on LastFM available for download, is it acceptable to post that info in this thread? Users will have to DL each song seperately, but I've found many complete EPs and albums as free DLs on LastFM.

Plague of Mankind/Apochryphal Revelation : Rituals of Blasphemy

http://www.mediafire.com/file/lfd9orcr6rait68/Plague of Mankind Apochryphal Revelation Rituals of Blasphemy.rar

They're my band's so I suppose it's sanctioned. Both sides are a compilation of demo tracks.Plague of Mankind play traditional black metal through our own stylistic filters.Apochryphal Revelation is a bastardization of early bestial hellvomit and Hellenic BM.

alreday posted in the promo section but its relevant here too :

Burzukh - Vision (2010) Now Available for Free Download
Size : 71.3 MB

Location : Kuwait / Pakistan

Genre : Industrial Gothic Metal

The seventh album from this extreme metal project brings a cohesion to the dark vision of old, while exhibiting bold steps forward.

A raging mix of oppressive metal moods with industrial elements, this is one seriously depressing and angry album, but manages to avoid the cliches rampant in the present metal scene, instead harking back to a colder, darker yet more human sound. A variety of vocal approaches compliment the various shades of back and grey present.

The production covers all the bases, and manages to keep the chaos in control. Best of all, the album has actual songwriting, something
that seems to be missing these days in most underground metal.

Burzukh's signature sound is present but genre tags like gothic/industrial/black metal/doom are rendered redundant.
The entire album is available in its entirety ( as high quality mp3 files) at :

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1d9tp0ehyv7nsle

for FREE DOWNLOAD like always !

So what are you waiting for ?

Upload to other sites, blogs, torrents etc and copy for all your friends at your pleasure and convenience. This is the only return
hoped for.

any feedback or queries :

Check them out here and scroll down for download links -

Hey

I came to this forum through this post, and I want to post my ten cents!

Traditional metallers Wizard, from Germany, have their first album Son Of Darkness in their webpage. The remaining albums also have a few full songs among the samplers, so look closely!

http://www.legion-of-doom.de/downloads.php

Finland's Celestial Sorrow give us their two demos, of which Despair Within Me is recommended. The sound on that one is a competent pastiche of Kalmah, but later songs have horrible clean vocals which do not sound good at all. Still, give them a try:

http://koti.mbnet.fi/csonline/csorrow/n ... juttu=mult

Heavy/Power metallers Illusion Of Clarity, from Sweden, have both their demos on their page:

http://www.illusionofclarity.com/ (click on "Music").

Sea Of Knowledge, by InfiNight, is another highly recommended download. Despite being from Germany, the band plays a typically US brand of heavy/power metal and can be found here:

http://www.infinight.de/index2.html (click "hear...", then "mp3", then "album downloaden").

Faerghail have their new demo "Death Whispers Misery" on the frontispice of their page:

http://ip.fi/~moisio/faerghail/index.htm

Katatonia soundalikes Deadlight give away three demos at:

http://www.deadlight.org/deadlight/deadlight.htm

Brazilian blackdeathrashers Attackiller say "present!" with their first and only demo so far:

http://www.attackill.com/music

Also from Brazil, female-fronted thrasher Sacrificed give away their first demo:

http://sacrificed.com.br/en-news.html# (scroll down)

Power-metallers Celestial Ode also give away their first demo at:

http://www.angelfire.com/music4/celesti ... xsida.html

There are so many more, that I'll have to return later with Chapter Two! Have fun!

Black metallers Frostgrim have their first album up for free download at the following link http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... =311721958
Two of the band members went on to form the excellent Der Weg Einer Freiheit. Enjoy.

Glad you're enjoying InfiNight, they're too good to be free IMHO!

Also, anyone who goes to the Faerghail site should look beyond the demo, as the band also offers a few loose mp3.

Meanwhile, here's another great free album. Eletrika are from Brazil and they play an original mix of electro and power/thrash metal. Sort of like Sepultura meets Fear Factory meets any Danish modern-metal band. The album is bilingual, but don't let that put you off. Download it at their myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/eletrika

or at the ever-popular freemetalalbums blog:

http://freemetalalbums.wordpress.com/20 ... v3-1-beta/

I'll be back soon with more juicy links! I'll just need to browse my extensive collection of free band-sanctioned demos...

Severed Fifth(some sort of death metal?) has their debut out and downloadable on their website.

http://www.severedfifth.com/releases/

Edit: As far as I know, they don't have any physical material, nor will they ever have due to the nature of the project(*). So, without physical material it's a no-no for the archives?

*: "Severed Fifth is a bold project founded by Jono Bacon designed to explore how far a musician can take his or her music by releasing it as freely available to everyone."

Yes, the rule is quite clear. It should be obvious from reading it alone.

Not released physically. If it will change in the future, it may be accepted.

Gannondorf has recorded another demo for free download, the link is in their myspace blog: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... =525388474

Make sure you copy/paste the megaupload link instead of clicking it, since clicking doesn't seem to work for whatever reason.

Forme has a 3-track album (23 min) available for download. It's instrumental prog metal; I would say similar to Exivious, Spiral Architect, Animals as Leaders.

http://forme.bandcamp.com/

Really good stuff: crisp sound, very active and great for zoning out while studying.

The demo "Conquering by Hatred" by the band Oorlogsgoden can be downloaded from their official site:
http://br.geocities.com/decimate_christians/down.htm

The first demo by Memories of Pain can be downloaded from their official site:

Both Recalcitrance demos can be downloaded here:

I'll see if I can find more links of stuff that is not on the blog I listed.

The site freemetal albums has now a new url: http://www.freemetalalbums.com
