Crow Black Sky: awesome, epic black metal band hailing from Cape Town, South Africa. They're full debut album is available for a free download on their website:

http://www.crowblacksky.com/selectdownload.html

Enjoy!

~EDIT~
I just read on the band's website that they operate 100% on donations, so if you download their album and like what you hear, please consider donating a few bucks (euros, pounds, pesos - whatever is used in your country) so that this awesome band can continue making music and performing. Thanks.

Since Trollkraftt's debut demo Bogs and Brimstone was only released physically on limited cassettes, they've listed a free download of the album on their Facebook page. (Highly recommended, btw)

You can download my Black Metal band's first full-length album for free here:
http://despotband.bandcamp.com/album/sa ... -death-row
I'm a one-man-band, but I try as best as I can to distance myself from your typical bedroom Black Metal band.
This CD was JUST made publicly available (I mean, this minute!) and I hope you like it! A lot of work went into it!

You can download the album of the colombian death/doom outfit Cóndor on their bandcamp for free. Interesting band with some suprising prog rock influences. http://condormetal.bandcamp.com/

The 16 minute MCD is up for free. For fans of Austere, Woods of Desolation, Gris, Trist (Cze), etc. (Don't worry, no 14-yo in a bedroom type of band.)

Philadelphia melodic death metal band Prosper or Perish has their full-length Defiant up for download on their bandcamp:
http://prosperorperish.bandcamp.com/

I also found their demo/EP The Dawning up on their Stereokiller page. Just scroll down to the bottom of the list of songs, click on any one of the songs after "Bleed for Something More", and click on the link.

Scottish band Common Gods have a free melodeath EP available over at http://commongods.bandcamp.com/
Can find them on this site at http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Common_Gods
For fans of At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity, Suidakra, though doesn't sound like any melodeath band in particular.

Canadian female-fronted groovy-ish death metallers Blood Drunk have their full-length album, Machine Made Flesh, up for free download on their Bandcamp page. Aside from the very annoying samples, I think it's pretty decent; definitely worth a listen.

Brazilian black metal band Deathpass: their EP, Proliferating the Curse, is free through MediaFire. Check additional notes for the download link. It's also somewhere on their Facebook page if anyone doubts its sanctity ...

And you're only 33 years old, haha! Come on. If you can't find good recent trad metal these days, you're simply not looking.

I'm aware of a lot of good heavy metal these days but this board is infatuated with all this black metal nonsense. Worst genre of metal EVER, imo of course.

That Sporadic Slaughter stuff is quite well done. \m/

Across Tundras have all their stuff up as "name your price" on their Bandcamp, interesting "country metal" vibe: http://acrosstundras.bandcamp.com/

Sebastien Pierre (ex-Lethian Dreams) has a solo album under the name Cold Insight. Melo-death/doom, name your price: http://coldinsight.bandcamp.com/

A Greek doom metal band called Nekkar have their debut up, very good stuff: http://nekkar.bandcamp.com/

I'm half of an instrumental duo called Astral Connection, our debut EP is name your price as well. Simple, short EP of melodic black metal/atmospheric rock: http://astralconnection.bandcamp.com/

Also, I know it's not technically "free", but for those seeking great proggy black metal (instrumental as well), Morphinist is a very cool project and every EP is priced at 1 Euro: http://morphinist.bandcamp.com/

Nonsun - Sun Blind Me

I really dug Nonsun's first EP. They've put out the latest EP called 'Sun Blind Me' for free download. MA describes the music as Drone/Doom/Sludge.
