Nice drums and cover art, Thou never disappoints.

I'm looking forward to this, the first track sounds great. I wasn't a big fan of magus, but I loved heathen and basically all of the EP and other material since has been great too.

I've been a big fan of everything until Heathen (which for me is their peak so far) while the later stuff is more miss than hit. The two singles sounds quite like a change in pace from heavy as balls droney doom to equally as heavy, fast-paced sludgecore, and I'm excited about it. I find that the full lengths tend to meander too much, but I very much dig the occasional pills of concentrated hardcore metal you find across their discography (particularly some of the EPs), so I hope the rest of Umbilical follows what we've heard so far.

Agreed, I've seen them multiple times and have a few albums but have always been pretty underwhelmed by their brand of sludgey doom. This new direction seems much more my tempo (heh) and I'm pretty excited for it. Also, they've always been fucking hilarious online, so it's nice to see them lean more into that with this video.
