Hi all,

I thought I'd share some metal bands I know about from Oceania, has anyone heard of bands from other places in the area?

Australia - The Berzerker

French Polynesia - Te Ruki
Guam - Surrender The Thief
Hawaii - Storm
New Caledonia - Redsphere
New Zealand - Alien Weaponry

Papua New Guinea - Abide Till Death
Solomon Islands - Sons of Solomon

Te Ruki I've heard. Their debut album 2022 was a pretty good listen. I'll have to give it another spin now.

I know I've listened to Alien Weaponry, but I didn't think they were very good. Too Nu-metalish. If I remember right, they sounded like a cross between Meshuggah and Slipknot- two bands I just never cared for.

The Berzerker sound familiar to me too. I don't recognize any of the other bands listed though.

Check out Convent Guilt from Sydney Australia. They are pretty good Metal/Rock.

From reading interviews in Bardo, the Australian scene sounded insane. Proper mentalists involved.

Tangent: Anyone remember that 'Ocean Metal' post from a few years ago? Link it if you can still find it!
