No release date, just early 2024 for now...

Dickinson explains: "This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it. I'm even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life. We're planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can! As for what 'The Mandrake Project' actually is… all will be revealed soon!”

The first live shows to be announced are in Mexico and Brazil in April and May 2024, with further touring plans to be revealed in due course.

"The Mandrake Project" tour dates:

April 18 - Diana Theater, Guadalajara, Mexico
April 20 - Pepsi Theatre, Mexico City, Mexico
April 24 - Live Curitiba, Curitiba, Brazil
April 25 - Pepsi On Stage, Porto Alegre, Brazil
April 27 - Opera Hall, Brasilia, Brazil
April 28 - Arena Hall, Belo Horizonte, Brazil
April 30 - Qualistage, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
May 02 - Quinta Linda, Ribeirao Preto, Brazil
May 04 - Vibra, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Needless to say, this goes high on anticipated list for next year (or any year, for that matter), but sure hope that isn't the cover for the album.

Yes! Come through Dick Brucington!

The Bruce albums are better than all the post-90's Maiden tripe so this is something to, at the very least, anticipate with some positive feelings.

Awesome!
If this album contains anything as good as "If Eternity Should Fail" it will be amazing.

^^ I do wonder if it will actually feature If Eternity Should Fail, considering that was initially written for this album.

There's a brief teaser available that doesn't reveal a whole lot.

I can't stand modern Maiden, but I'll always love Bruce. The man is a living legend and true renaissance man... but who on God's good Earth though this would be a good artcover for an album?? I know most people don't give a rat's ass about album covers, but damn... horrible.

I think it's just a promo pic, not the album cover.

If it’s as good as Tyranny of Souls, I’ll be happy. Hell, if it’s as good as If Eternity Should Fail, I’ll be happy.

Oh, this is great. The newer Maiden albums have been real misses for me, but almost all of Bruce's solo albums are excellent.

It's gonna be nearly 20 years since the last solo album dropped!

Otherwise, I've liked just about all of these solo Bruce Dickinson albums, so I'll be looking forward to hearing this one next year.

Well you know, ass can be really awesome. I guess it just depends on the ass and which way one is oriented.

Is that a promo poster or the album cover? It looks like a photo still taken from Highlander II: The Quickening

Oh, I feared it would be The Dicking...

Anyway, I think this is not the album cover. However, Bruce featured on 'Balls to Picasso' cover too, so let's wait a bit. Details to be revealed...

Looking forward to this. I dig all the solo work he has done, from Balls onward and if this is anything like the last three it will be a treat.

Though he did write one of my least favorite reunion era cuts but I think that was an outlier. Roy Z tends to bring out the best in his songwriting I think.

I am not keen on that cover.

I also haven't been keen on Bruce's voice post cancer.

I'll probably buy it, but I don't have high hopes for it.

although Bruce has been a complete cunt politically in recent years, man I'd love to see him live doing his solo material with Roy Z and Adrian.

this was the last show he played solo, twenty years ago.

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/bruce-di ... 4ea86.html

none of Tyranny of Souls ever got played live.

Meh, Ted Nugent is a complete cunt. Kid Rock is a complete cunt. The Staind guy is a complete cunt.

Bruce is a minor cunt.

Also, its starting to set in that Maiden isn't doing an American SIT revisited tour.

It would be a real shame if that were the cover. However, I’m fairly confident that the material will rule. It’s been way too long and it’ll be interesting to see if Adrian pops up. I still hope for some Chemical Wedding-esque magic (alchemy, surely?).

That album cover is absolutely awful. Greek letters being used incorrectly in place of latin characters is a massive pet peeve of mine and I really wish people would stop doing it. I expected better of Bruce.
Being semi-lingual in Greek, my brain can't help but try to process it as "Brucs Dickinson - Tis Mdndrdks Rrojsct".

Lol. Funny because they treated them as approximations of English alphabet. How tacky.

Bruce should leave this sort of artwork to C-tier power metal bands.

Even as a teaser or promo or whatever you wanna call it, it's still tacky-terrible not silly-terrible.

Can't fuckin wait for this! 18 years since Tyranny Of Souls and 23 years since he went back to his boring ol day job to pay the bloody bills.
Gonna be interesting to see how the tour goes coz I think his solo stuff has been getting more and more appreciated since he's been back at the day job.

Oh boy, it's finally happening! Although I expect it to be more like ToS (not my favorite but I still like it) rather than MCW or AoB (S tier metal IMO)

While I will always be happy he did go back so I could see them live, musically I much prefer his solo work over anything he has done with Maiden since his return.

yeah absolutely fair.

and I was really impressed by Empire of the Clouds despite hating reunion Maiden's endless long epic songs. really eager to see what he'll do musically on his own presumably with Roy Z.

Funny thing, I like Tattooed Millionaire more than his other solo albums.

Tattooed Millionaire is a great album. Just fun hard rock with cool riffs and catchy choruses.

The Chemical Wedding and Tyranny of Souls are great albums, but I must admit I haven't really returned to them in maaany years.

Based on the title and imagery, it seems the new album will continue the focus on occultism, esoteric knowledge and whatnot. Bruce has explored this in Iron Maiden as well, notably with Moonchild and Revelations.

Every new post on this thread brings me the hope of a single, a sample, a teaser, a teaser of a teaser, but all I see are reasons to bring this thread back to life.

That's good news, I was so scared that this nonsense would be on the album cover, that would be really, really scandalous and horrible, that would makes you wonder what Dickinson was thinking, but well I hope the actual album cover will be something more serious and memorable

Same.

Can't bother with the cover. As long as it's not the cover of Shitfun. That would make me upset.

If it was the cover and the music was great I wouldn't care much. Of all his albums only SW & TCW had a cool cover, the rest were bad to mediocre. Albums were all good though.
