What are people's feelings on this album?

I've had it for the longest time but every time I give it a spin it goes in one ear and out the other. The only song that stays with me is the title-track - which is also the opener, if we discount the obligatory German "Intro" - which sounds just like the killer military-themed material on M-16.

Should I keep spinning it until it makes an impact? Or is it nothing more than unremarkable Sodom?

I've got a similar feeling about this album. It has some very aggressive songs and my sense tell me that I should liked it because it has what I look for in a thrash album, but for some reason it has never grown on me. Maybe it's just that I haven't given it enough listens or that I wasn't in the right mood when I did.

It is a transition album, which has some parts left over from their 90's punkish sound, but moving into the direction of awesomeness that M-16 realized.

It's actually one of my top three albums by Sodom. I find "What Hell Can Create" to be particularly infectious.

CAN'T WAIT TIL DEATH ARRIVES - SPIRITUAL DEMISE!!!!!

That song and "Tombstone" are worth it. Love Code Red. "Cowardice" is also pretty bad ass.

Love this album. It's definitely a transition album, like StillDeath said. What's great about it is that it actually perfectly sandwiched between their previous punky albums and the straight up thrash that would later follow it. At times, it gets more brutal than Tapping The Vein, and that brutality hasn't been matched by any other album after Code Red. That said, I don't think it's the best one after Till Death Do Us Part, but it's still a hell of an offering from Sodom, and I always give it regular spins.

Another great album by Germany's most consistent thrash band.

Code Red?

The 1st third is okay, i really enjoy the title track.
The 2nd third is great !!!
The last third is meh, except for The Wolf & The Lamb.

All in all, i would give it a solid 75%.

"Code Red", the song, is one of the fastest fucking thrash songs I had heard at that point in my listening career.

It's too Slayer to be a great Sodom album. By the way, they never really made a great album with the new guitarist (M-16 is certainly good, though). Sodom's last great one was in 1994 with Andy Brings.
