I'd like to contribute a photo of my entire collection but I ran out of storage space a while ago and now have everything scattered across the four corners of my room. Oh well. Here's some more mini-collection photos instead:

Blut Aus Nord

Unfortunately the two digipak cases for the eps were destroyed by some unknown gnarly gunk.

Zao

Relatively complete, three more things I'd like to add to it in the future.

One thing can be said for sure... the music (or at least METAL) industry isn't loosing money due to downloading from US...

^ cool! I like a good box set although I don't really have many, I almost got a Marduk one not long ago but it didn't seem very good value for what was in it.
how's that Slayer one, what's in it/name etc?

That Slayer box is Soundtrack to the Apocalypse. It's got quite a lot of shit. Definitely the kind of thing a Slayer fan would want to have.

True, might give it a miss, I hate autographs  I've only ever got one CD autographed and that was Brutal Truth - Sounds of the Animal Kingdom.. I ended up being annoyed that the artwork was ruined. Since then I leave my booklets at home and if I really want some band member's scribble i'll get 'em to sign my ticket stub.

That Slayer box is pretty cool. I never listened to the comp CD's that are just album tracks, but the old demos are cool, and I loved the video from 83/84 that's in it.

I keep 2,500 CDs on a wall downstairs and 10,000+ in boxes upstairs. Been meaning to clear out one of my 5 bedrooms and turn it into a dedicated music room but I've yet to figure out what I'm gonna do with all the crap that currently occupies the room.

Nah, it's gonna be in a landfill one day. I never wasted time with marriage or children, and my non-metal brother who will definitely outlive me will most likely just take them all to the dump when I die.

Just handfuls of random shit, lots of unknown 90's metal stuff upstairs. I probably have 8,000 CDs from the 90's alone, quite a few bands that never quite "made it". From what's pictured the highlights for me would be Ancient Rites, Solstice, Monstrosity, Autumn Leaves, Panzerchrist, Abramelin, Vomitory, Revolting, Slough Feg, Theory In Practice, Unanimated, Ebony Tears, Sabbat, Merciless, and that first pressing "Diabolical Bloodshed" by Nominon.

Some things pictured that people may not have heard of but should check out:

Paroxysm (Good death metal from Canada)
Infernal Gates (Death/Doom from Sweden)
Scrambled Defuncts (Brutal death with a touch of tech, couple great tunes on that album)
Theriomorphic (Good solid album, death metal on the melodic side)
Obtruncation (Just for the song "Parish Of Perdition", the rest of the album doesn't hold up)
Dominus ("Tears In Black" off View To The Dim will crush your dinky skull, plodding death metal)
Veneral Disease (Check out the song "The Forgotten Affliction" from Perpetual Pain Procedure, so fucking good)

Just out of curiosity, how many years have you been collecting, Enigma? Looks like a solid two decades of stuff there.

20+ years. I never set out to have so many, it just sorta happened lol. I get bored late at night and I start filling up e-carts. Even as I type this I'm sifting through the Comatose site to see what I can order. I'm currently waiting on about 75 new discs I've ordered in the past 5 days. Back in the 90's I use to hit 4 or 5 music shops locally every single weekend looking for new and used discs. Those were good times, nothing beats coming across a rarity in the 99cent used bins.

I do quite well financially, but it's easy to succeed in life when you say no to marriage and children. Seems most of my friends are broke and divorced. One of my closest friends had as many CDs as me in the 90's, two kids and a divorce later and I bet he doesn't own 50 discs now. CDs are a cheap addiction too, also found upstairs is about a dozen guitars and amps, a gold/silver coin collection, over 50 handguns and a stockpile of ammunition that would make most branches of the government jealous. And don't worry anti's, that shits locked up tighter than Fort Knox. I think we need a gun thread, guns are fuckin' metal!

You sound like the comedian Doug Stanhope there, if you are familiar with him. He has a great joke about how he can outbid anybody on eBay because his expenses are so low, living in a cheap area of Arizona, no kids, no wife...

Time out, is old NB stuff hard to come by now? I always thought they kinda flooded the market with their releases. If there's anything I have too much of it's old NB shit.
