This fucking sucks. Twisted Sister were as good as any other of those 80's trad bands. That intro to What You Don't Know is as good as any album opener ever. He died so young also. RIP AJ.

I'm only a casual listener of Twisted Sister and Adrenaline Mob but this is pretty sad news. I kinda wonder what this'll mean for Twisted Sister since they were very adamant about having their "classic lineup" for everything.

AJ was a co-worker of mine over the past couple of years (it wasn't anything music related). He was a great guy. He was always in a good mood, and he was always willing to entertain with stories about his life. He will be missed.

Probably doesn't warrant an entirely separate thread yet. Also, sorry for it being a TMZ link, but that's what the band posted on their Facebook.

They're doing a farewell tour next year, and their Facebook indicates they're doing an AJ Pero tribute show in June in New Jersey. Drumming for all of this is gonna be Mike Portnoy.
