From their Facebook
Quote:
The album will be released on March 21st, 2014 as a luxurious 6-panel digipak, including a 16-page booklet with Cyrillic Russian lyrics and English translations.

The cover art is based on Petri Laurell's photographs shot in the ghost town of Pripyat, Ukraine.

Tracklist:

Quote:
1. Пророк / The Prophet
2. Имя на стене / Name on the Wall
3. Воскресение / Resurrection
4. Дети Биркенау / The Children of Birkenau
5. Грязный герой / The Filthy Hero
6. Как философия губит самоотверженных, бескорыстных бюрократов / As Philosophy Ruins Unprejudiced, Selfless Bureaucrats
7. Белорусский снег / Belarussian Snow
8. Всегда так было / It's Always Been This Way
9. Этой песни нет / This Song is Not
10. Трос, грузовик и темный балкон / A Rope, A Truck, and a Dark Balcony

Well, I am absolutely stoked for this. Big fan of both of their albums, hard to pick a favourite but I'll say Cherno due to "Christmas in Murmansk" and "Demon" existing on that album though both are pretty well the absolute epitome of crushing, dreadful doom. Looking forward to more of the bleak, Soviet tower block atmosphere and the massive riffage. If the last two albums are any indication, this one's definitely going to up there among this year's best for me.

Awesome band, can't wait to hear that. Should had been a Sochi themed album but I guess Ukraine is also something actual!

I found the last album pretty meh, but I think the band has a lot of potential and I love the photo, so I'm reasonably excited for it, hopefully they doom harder than usual and have plenty of "Christmas in Murmansk" styled songs.

Totally stoked. I love both previous albums and I have huge expectations for this one. That cover photo rules.

Already know it'll be a strong contender for album of the year. Their other albums have been crushing.

Awesome. I've been itching for an great new doom metal album, and KYPCK is one of the best around to deliver.

i'll also have my ears out for this one. easily the best post-sentenced band.

also a bit of a Q for anyone who might know: how's the singer's russian? i remember reading that he's fluent in the language, but i also have a vague memory of hearing someone else saying he was butchering it. not speaking russian myself i have no idea, but if it's anything like eric adams' "herz aus stahl" in the russians' eyes then eeeeeeeek! ha.

I've had Russians tell me that it's basically spot-on, maybe a very slight accent but totally grammatically correct.

It's impressive for a foreigner, but nowhere near perfect neither from a grammatical nor a pronunciation/accent standpoint.

Looking forward for this one as well, even though I found their latest album somewhat lacking as well.

i personally know the guy; he lived in russia a few years ago working in an embassy and has teached russian in finland... it's obvious to a russian that he's got a non-native accent, but he's hardly butchering it

Gonna bump this one to notify that preorders for the album are up, although at 19,95€ (before shipping) for apparently nothing more than the album itself I can't see it provoking too much interest.

Those guitars need some sustain. I've never liked their big hooky "singles" tracks anyway, so I'll wait to see what comes next.

Good album but it's their weakest imho. "Belarussian Snow" and "A Rope, A Truck, and a Dark Balcony" are my current favourites.
