Awesome news. Just a great, heavy as fuck band. I absolutely loved Terminal. Definitely looking forward to this one.

Yeah! Terminal was amazing! One of their best. In my personnal top 3, alongside Hippie Killer and Satan Worshipping Doom. My expectations are very high!

Most of these dope/bong/weed type bands are either super boring derivative early Sabbath worship, or they end up being really really good. This is one I'll give a chance because I suspect they are one of the rare "Really really good" ones.

I find that the bong, dope, weed bands sound usually more like Electric Wizard and Sleep then Black Sabbath, or sometimes more like 90's sludge (Weedeater, Bongzilla). Anyway. Bongripper does standout a lot, IMHO. Like, yes they were definitely influenced by bands like Sleep, but their sound is quite distinctive. They are mostly instrumental, and their whole sound is built around creating longer, massive tracks with massive buildups and payoffs. The songwriting is on point, and the riffs are memorable and very effective.

A good place to start, in my opinion, is with Satan Worshipping Doom.

I was initially put off by this band's name, but I'm listening to Satan Worshipping Doom right now and enjoying it. I'll probably check this new one out.

Best instrumental stoner metal band along with Karma to Burn.

Super stoked for this. Agree with previous posters that Satan Worshipping Doom is a good way to start.

I've only listened to it one time but it is great and on par with their best material. They definitely delivered big time. I really need to see them play live sometime.

Upon first few listens, it's a good album, but not on par with Terminal. I'll give it a few more spins for sure, as it's still Bongripper, and it's still solid, and maybe it wil grow on me more.
