Hi

what do you think of weird and/or unusual crossovers like Death Metal with Jazz influences or Doom Metal with grindcore ?

Obviously there have to be influences of both genres

I don't know many bands that do such things but from the top of my head

Circle of Dead Children - Starving The Vultures (grindcore + black metal)

At this point pretty much no exotic genre mix artist is interesting because everything was already done by pretentious musicians thinking fuck this will be original.
Very small part of good metal albums is really a clear example of genre mixing (be it with non-metal genre, or not so closely related metal subgenre).
