Manilla Road - The Empire

Listened to 'The Circus Maximus' before this. What the hell?! Not sure how to feel about that one. It's not that it doesn't sound like Manilla Road (which I know it's not), it's that it doesn't even sound like itself. There's no stylistic unity at all. I really liked the first song, but the second song had me scratching my head, and the third had me horrified. Some really stupid musical ideas present on that album. Maybe it'll grow on me?

Vader - True Names

I never hear/see much talk of Black to the Blind, be it around here or amongst friends. Great album, and this is my favorite Vader song. This band rules.

They played a lot of songs from it when I saw them - It was called the "Back to the Black" tour, and they seemed to emphasise the record. It was the 15th Anniversary of the album last year, but I'm not sure if that's anything to do with it.
