Found another one while randomly searching through the archives. Children of Sodom -- Death/Grind/Doom, apparently. Yeah, as you can imagine, I clicked on this one because of the band name's similarity to another, more well-known band. You can get the Promo 2002 demo from their web site here. Don't know if it's any good or not -- not a fan of grind, so I didn't download it. Wouldn't worry about just getting samples, though -- the entire promo is just under four minutes long.

Saars - Thrash metal from the Czech Republic. Listened to it, and it wasn't all that bad. Don't think there were any solos, though. Download their first demo here.

I don't know if anyone has already posted it, but Torture Division:

http://www.torturedivision.net/downloadgraphy

Really awesome death metal. It's got members from The Project Hate, Vicious Art and Vomitory.

Senmuth just posted the newest of his albums, Weird
http://senmuth.nnm.ru/senmuth_weird_2008
For those who don't want to register (you have to register to see the download links, and it's a real pain in the ass to do so, as the entire site is in Russian), here's the download link.
It is sanctioned by Senmuth (he uploaded it), so don't freak out because it's on rapidshare.
http://rapidshare.com/files/144725472/S ... _.rar.html

Also, he recently uploaded a cover of Mercyful Fate's Come to the Sabbath. I just listened to it, quite different, but very well done.
So here is that should you want to listen.
http://www.realmusic.ru/songs/463933/

Enjoy.
I'll check out the new album later this evening, i'm hoping it's more metal then his recent outputs.
Edited for retarded spelling error.

I know this is a bit late to say this, but this is really good. One thing, though, the singer sounds strangely alike to the guy who did the Agent Metal and Revenant stuff that's available on the first page. Must be yet another side project, then.

In Morpheus' Arms - listed under Gothic/Progressive metal. One thing about progressive metal, I've found, is that, if it isn't a familiar name, it's likely not worth your time. Such is the case here, but meh, if you like this, kudos. Download their demo from their website here.

You can listen to the great new album of Angeldark (from the ashes of The Stormrider)
Angeldark - Angélique

It's hard to describe the music of Angélique in a few words, you just must listen to it. Gothic, symphonic, power, death, electronica... A multi-layered soundscape made of apparent opposites. And the plot of this elaborate concept album is just as complex: Angélique is a 21th century Metal Opera about the arcane writing process of a homonym and fictitious 19th century classical opera. Thus, ANGELDARK build bridges between the European musical romanticism and the avant-garde of melodic metal, featuring soprano Berenice Musa and the whole Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and Choir.

If you like it drop some lines in the guestbook.

After Omega has their s/t album available for download on their myspace blog here.

They play power/prog in the vein of Symphony X with intermittent use of harsh vocals. Very good stuff. I don't know why they aren't talked about more.
