He was in infectious grooves and suicidal tendencies waaay before metallica though, although both those bands he was in had big metal influences (and, iirc, suicidal tendencies are in the archives)


Pretty much every late '80s/early '90s hard rock band was influenced, at least slightly, by metal, considering that's the time alternative metal was invented.

Urgh, I know. Back when I was a retard and used to buy Kerrang, there was a free CD of bands that MCR claim influence from. Among them Soilwork, Heloween and Thrice...

I know that the australian Drum & Bass group Pendulum is heavily influenced by Metal and Hard rock
