Falkenbach - Vanadis

I've not listened to much Falkenbach before, but this is beautiful, almost-tranquil and all-round great. I will absorb the discography as quickly as will be financially sensible.

Paradise Lost - Crucify

FOR ETERNITY...YOU'RE MY SENTENCE!

Don't like the groovy riffs during the versers but apart from that this song owns. Doooooom!

Gallowbraid - Oak and Aspen

they may be called an Agalloch clone, but this EP was better than the last Agalloch release imo

This is a guy who really knows what he's talking about.

Testament - D.N.R. (Do Not Resuscitate), off The Gathering

Extremely intense. So much, actually, it almost steps out of pure thrash territory. Plus; Dave FUCKING Lombardo!

Atheist-Jupiter.

Fixed the speaker for my record player, decided to spin this. Really good album, some nice riffs.

Teitanblood - Domains of Darkness and Ancient Evil

I know it's early, but I don't know if Teitanblood can get any better than this album. It's one of the most evil things I have in my collection.

A lot of mixed opinion on this, but I tend to enjoy it, too.

Spawn Of Possession - Incurso
Devolved - Technologies
Meshuggah - Koloss
Ketha - 2nd Sight
Hour Of Penance - Sedition

In that order. Really loving Incurso. It'll take many listens to digest it all but it's great how they made a 50+ minute album of spazzed out tech-death work.

Sedition rocks, Incurso is too random and unmemorable for me.

Drudkh - Skies at our Feet

Absolutely love this stuff before going to sleep. Sets a calming, more peaceful atmosphere.

Love that song. And the band.

NP: Morbid Angel - Suffocation

Persistence pays off, I'm finally beginning to understand what people see in this album. Took me long enough.

Virgin Steele-Blaze of Glory

I've been adoring this band lately, the same with Helloween. Just two bands I've never checked out until now, I hope I win the bidding war for Invictus

Paradise Lost - Embers Fire

Just downloaded a bunch of PL albums to sample including their new one. Hmmm...

Nick Holmes' voice is awesome. The music is really rocking, bluesy doomish stuff and he sounds like a Thrash singer. This is a very unique sound.

Good boy! Colin is proud of you! Incase you wonder: the band's most loved albums are the first 5 and latest 3 so if there's anything you have to check yet, go for these.

NP: Paradise Lost - Ending Through Changes

Not too heavy for definitely overpowering, emotionally speaking. Don't think it would fit as an actual track on the latest album but it's definitely bettter than some of the stuff on that one.

Yeah, I figured you would show up when I mentioned Paradise Lost, like a Bloody Mary-type deal or something. Mention Paradise Lost and colin040 shows up.
