I know it was from months ago. I'm not completely clueless but damn it was still that aggrivating as I slowly go through the thread reading while listening. Basically next month I have a huge art show and i plan to blow most of the profits of that on some of these that I have found copies of but haven't bought just yet.

Molested - Blod-Draum

This is some great death metal to come out of Norway. Chaotic riffs and a slightly muddy production that is very fitting.

truly some of the most over-the-top-and-fuckin-out-there Death Metal there is. there is nothing comparible to this.....but if you're a fan of stuff like Timeghoul, Gutted and Infester-the really off the wall stuff, you might enjoy it

compiled of 2 demos, there's not a riff is out of place and you're never waiting for something to hit you in the face it all comes when it needs too and even when it's going easy, doomin along, it never loses it's straight up EVIL DEATH FUCKIN METAL INTENSITY....hell the Yardbird cover still has it's original kinda 60s vibe but is just as much a Death song on this album as the rest

this isn't Thrashy Death, Doom-y, Black, Technical, Brutal, Progressive, Experimental, fuckin /Grind or -core it's goddamn blasphemous Death Metal and i love & i can't get enough of it! i also truly believe it's one of those album that is an example of how real Metal (especially Death) will always stay underground-it's just too original to be bastardized

this is some sick shit... i love it! thanks for the recommendation

Completely killer Spanish death metal. Like a darker Left Hand Path meets a more chaotic Blessed are the Sick. As with Danger Drive, the raw production and tape-only release (100 copies!) definitely hurt this band.

great stuff here also. there is so much fucking gold in this thread.

Brutality already mentioned earlier for Screams of Anguish, but In Mourning is their least circulated album and imo also their best, even though the members themselves didn't see it that way.

Destroyed by Society and Waiting to Be Devoured are some of the heaviest songs ever written. This shit absolutely crushes.

Band is Infeastdead. It actually came out in 1999, but hey, that's over a decade old. Its got Dan Swano, so if your a fan of his you'll like it.

This is my absolute favorite thread on this board.

Well here is one of my favorites that haven't been meantioned yet.

CorpseVomit from chicago. not much I can offer for a description but it's more blasting old school death metal. just ugly stuff.

You can still get for cheap the full length album that was released in 01 for that is made up of half of the demo songs. Hell I think you can still get the Bastards of Foreverfilth for cheap. they are both worth the dollars.

Lately I have been digging the hell out of this one which I discovered on youtube. I love the snarling vocals and it is nice and thrashy with a sludgy/crunchy guitar tone that I love. Surprised that I don't think I have heard this mentioned before.

That Nocturn album is definitely an obscure gem.

Now for a Danish band whose debut doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves...

Dominus - View to the Dim

Dark, viking-themed death metal with some seriously monstrous growls.

This is great! Kind of reminds me of a more brutal version of early finnish Disgrace.

To contribute, here's an EP by Swedish MORPHEUS:

Image
"In The Arms Of..."

This band is usually overlooked because of the horrible production on their full-length, but this EP is great. Picked up the yellow splatter vinyl a few months ago.

We're about to release Toxaemia's complete discography on 2CD. They were an early 90s (90-91) Swedish death metal band...didn't follow the Sunlight sound theory. Their sound has a lot more of a thrash and uptempo feel to it while remaining clearly in the death metal realm. The first disc will be the complete discography (70 mins) some songs remixed and all songs remastered by Swano. Second disc will be the untouched originals. Check them out on myspace...killer stuff!

Vicious Circle - Cryptic Void (1993)

A forgotten beast of an album, one of the better acts signed to JL America at the time. Guitar solos on this mofo are insane..."Demons of My Past" has a scorcher that goes in reverse halfway through it, very awesome. Strong thrash elements are also present (Morbid Saint comes to mind often). Fans of Morbid Angel & Vader should definitely dig it.

Lemming Project - Hate and Despise (1992)

Fucking HEAVY...Death metal with a crushing sound rivaling that of Asphyx or Bolt Thrower. They have a lot of slower sections that could easily place them in the doom category, but there's some great mid-tempo bangers as well packing some groove in the vein of early Pungent Stench. If you like any of the above-mentioned bands, this won't disappoint.

I so wish the old death metal wasn't so hard to find on vinyl. I would love to collect old death metal vinyl, solely based off of the album covers.

Their demos are better and straight-forward. Not too twisted and abstract. I have their "Speared And Twisted" demo, and it is astonishing.

Here's a couple of bands that I think would be appropriate to post:

Transgressor (JPN) - Ether for Scapegoat (1992)

Dirty, dissonant death/doom from Japan.

Image

Malevolence (NZL) - Almost Like Something Completely Sinister (1998)

Has a bit of a grinding edge to it, especially in some of the vocals, so it may not be for everyone, but nevertheless, a strong release.
It's available to download/purchase from the band themselves at their website.

Crucifix - Barriers
Deathrune - Remain forever entangled
Rottrevore - Iniquitous
Avulsion - Dimensions of Darkness
Imprecation - Ceremony of the Nine Angles (Also featured on their Theurgia Hoetia Summa EP, but the demo version sounds better to me)
Symphony of Grief - Our Blessed Conquerer Unfortunately, there are no links to stream any song off that EP but here is a lnk to one of the songs off their 1993 demo Infernal creation.
Someone Mentioned earlier Morpheus Descends - Ritual of Infinity but Im also going add their Chronicles of the Shadowed Ones and
Horror of the Truth EP to this list. Everything this band did was great and you cannot go wrong with them.
Thorr's Hammer - Dommedagsnatt
Bolt Thrower - Realm of chaos. Pretty well known but one of my favorites.
Pyrexia - Sermon of Mockery
Jungle Rot - Skin the Living
Also mentioned earlier was Fleshcrawl - Descend into the Absurd
Slaughter - Strappado

Azazel (Poland) - Way of Suffering Demo 1992

Image

This is somewhat doomy death metal with some atmospheric parts. Vocals aren't the best but the music more than makes up for it imho. Unfortunately, it seems that the only way that you can listen to the entire demo is by downloading it.

there is one song on youtube though :)
