Ordered a few collection-gap fillers:

Annihilator - Never, Neverland
Nailbomb - Point Blank
Paradise Lost - Draconian Times (original pressing so I can ditch the lame Koch reissue with no lyric sheet and that horrible Smiths cover tacked on the end)

These finally came in the mail today. Type O Negative, complete roadrunner collection '91-'03 6-CD set. Had most of them on cassette before and sets like this are cheaper than buying the CDs again, but I do miss having the booklets/inserts with CDs. :(

Two CDs from Swords&Chains Records:

Crimson Storm - Motor City Maniac EP (This thing riiiiiips and it's got some depth don't let the aesthetics fool you, they almost did me)

Glacier - s/t EP (Re-issued on CD. I haven't heard it in yeeeaaaars but I remember obsessing over it in my downloading days)

How do you like the new Worm Ouroboros? How does it compare to their first two albums? That one's been on my list to buy from before it was released...

Enjoy those ITW albums! All three are quite good.

Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth
Dark Tranquillity - Atoma (Deluxe Edition)
Dark Tranquillity - Damage Done

I finally bought Atoma. I haven't listened to the bonus tracks yet, so I'm eager to give those a go!

Just got back from the Inquisition and Mayhem show, I picked up:

Inquisition - Obscure Verses for the Multiverse
Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm

I really enjoyed seeing them live, I'm looking forward to delving into more of their discography.

I think its a good album, not a groundbreaking one but if you like the previous one you must give it a try. One of my favourite bands around.

I ordered the new Sauron CD through Dystopian Dogs. If you don't know about Sauron from Michigan, you're fucking up. One of the last handful of truly antagonistic and dangerous sounding thrash bands.

The runtime is short and the cover art is dope, as always:

Right on. I hope to get it sooner than later. I do enjoy their first two albums though I haven't listened to them in a little while.

^Nice, The Headless Children is one of my favorite classic heavy metal albums. W.A.S.P.'s best album imo.

Not really metal, but I believe my most recent album bought was Fu Manchu's California Crossing.

Last metal purchase was a cassette tape of Maiden's Powerslave.

This is a band that I have been meaning to check out for a long time but for whatever reason have never gotten around to. Is the most recent one as good a place as any to start with these guys? Or would you recommend starting with a previous release?

I haven't heard it yet but they're usually a very consistent band. I'd probably start with one of the first two. Thrash Assault is fucking ferocious. Just completely focused on ripping your face off. Satanic Assassins works in just a bit more nuance and songwriting. But it's still some of the most antagonistic sounding thrash I've heard from a modern band. It also has a much better production. Thrash Assault is demo quality. It just adds to the sound though.

Good one. Would love to add that to the collection, although Shotgun Justice has been on my wishlist for a while now too (preferably with the original untouched art). Razor always had dope album covers.

Some more LPs. A while ago but I thought I'd still share.

Vektor - Terminal Redux
